For the price and location, this is a great option. Stayed in a private room (with attached bathroom) for several nights and couldn’t ask for a better place in London for the budget traveler. Everything you need for a long weekend, even laundry service in the building although it’s a bit complicated. A young crowd, a bar/restaurant inside, and a helpful front desk. Right next to the Great Portland Street Tube station and not too far from the Regent’s Park station (and the actual park). Plus Marylebone is a lovely neighborhood with every amenity you need. Would stay here again. Hard to beat!

I recently visited the bar at the International Students House, and while the staff were incredibly friendly, my experience with the food left much to be desired. I ordered a vegan burger, which unfortunately turned out to be the worst I've ever tasted, and the quality of the beer was quite disappointing as well. It's worth noting that I've never resided at the International Students House, so my comments are solely based on my dining experience.

Great value! Easy check-in with a very welcoming staff member. Even received a little gift bag of toiletries. Building felt safe/secure. Our rooms were small dorms with their own bathroom with shower. A problem arose with one room and it was resolved quickly. £60/night was amazing! I highly recommend the Istanbul restaurant right across the street too.

Had a pretty good stay here! The people were very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. It is usually long term student housing, so you’ll either be in a double or single room. All bathrooms are private and there are private showers too. There is also laundry and you can buy individual pods at the front desk. My only complaint would be that the bed was kinda uncomfortable. I could feel the springs in my back. Otherwise a great stay!

I stayed here for a semester in 2004. So these photos were taken with a disposable camera. I had a great time at ISH it was a great location, was clean and a nice place to stay.

This facility is exactly as advertised. Clean and impeccably neat. Staff were as helpful on phone as in person. It was a very busy time for me but I had a good night rest.

The place is good and the rooms too.. the only thing is they don't clean the room in all the time we was there... The restaurant down is amazing and cheap and the waiters are very friendly

Reasonable for the price but there are a lot of flaws. The rooms are fine but no AC and the showers are considerably small and poorly designed. Be warned, water will get everywhere. The key cards don’t work to get into the building. Otherwise for 100 pounds a night it wasn’t bad considering there were no other options. For the most part, this should be a last resort for your accommodations. Also not sure why breakfast is advertised as free when it is not.

I stayed here for a year and this is my honest review.pros:1. Prime location- right next to Regent's park and the tube station. Great view from the windows. This is a good place to stay if you are new to the city and like to stay in the central.2. The prices are reasonable for the location.3. Free breakfast on the weekends.4. Clean premises; the cleaning staff is very efficient and friendly, and they even clean the common bathrooms.3. Common areas include a study room, club room, own venue, and plenty of dinner and festival celebrations. They even have an affordable travel club.4. Very understanding about the accommodation extensions. Ms. Penny and Mr.Sly know that you are an International student and the housing problems. So, they do their best to accommodate you after the end of your term.Cons:1. Students with scholarships get special treatment over other students. The pictures of scholars are displayed on the wall and have their own events. Maybe the name should be changed to International Scholars House, not Students House.2. Reception staff is usually helpful but very rude, and nosy. Favoritism for allotment of kitchen lockers. One of the receptionists did not refund my kitchen locker deposit deliberately.3. Festivals and events are good but in unpopular events like movie nights, and sports, favoritism is quite obvious and if you are outside the scholar's group, you may either get yelled at by the Resident Advisor for grabbing a piece of pizza or taken away your medal for winning the game and give it to their favorite people.4. People steal food from fridges and felt cameras could have been in the common areas.5. Dismissive when you complain or make suggestions.Overall I had a mixed experience at ISH and recommend this place to students.
