Emailed head office to order in an item however the staff were surprised to hear this when I turned up. The staff on site helped me with some deck shoes though, great local staff just a shame about the head office.

A surprisingly diverse offering of marine hardware. Stock levels are hit-or-miss; often just the size/style you need of something is not in stock, perhaps because it is the most demanded and quick to sell-out... Staff are quite helpful and friendly but they tend to shut up shop five minutes early so don't leave it to the last minute!

I find the staff at the Bristol chandlery a pleasure to buy from. They are always knowledgeable, and helpful beyond the call of duty. They carry a good stock of high quality and reasonably priced clothing and chandlery. I can't fault them.

Frequented by boat owners, vast selection of everything they need or might need for their boats, like marine paint, ropes or a new loo! Friendly knowledgeable staff. Parking available.

The staff are not that welcoming. The younger lads are fairly welcoming. However the older sales people find it difficult to say hello. How can I help. When leaving you say thanks and goodbye, your lucky if you get that from the elder sales.Even after spending £300 .However it is the only Chandler locally.

Force 4 seem incapable of answering the phone - with no answer machine facility. My local branch had nothing on the website about pre ordered collections only. More than unhelpful. What is the point of being a business if you are completely uninterested in helping potential customers. I am now needless to say never going to be a potential customer - not a rubbish customer service but a complete and totally absent one. What a monumental waste of my time. Thanks guys....

Visited Force4 Bristol today. Very disappointing experience. Dinghy sailing boots completely out of popular sizes - young sales assistant seemed completely uninterested. Said, when pressed, would have more stock 'soon'! Asked about sailing watches - he indicated a locked glass cabinet downstairs and walked away! I would, potentially have spent about £100 on both these items but left feeling that no-one was in the least bit interested in serving me. Will be buying both on line and passing on my experience to other members of my sailing club.I would be interested to hear your comments.

Good place for most boating goodies also a lot better prices than most Chandler's. Friendly service with a smile. If they don't have what you are looking for they will order in for you.

Rather annoyed with the experience, i rang during the week for a specific part i needed and it was confirmed to me that theu had it in stock by there head office in Strousd. So i went down there early in the morning to get what i needed, turned out that they didnt have what i needed and proceeded to essentially not really help in anyway. 2 hour round trip wasted. Will not be returning
