What a gem. Had Full English Breakfast on our way home after 4 days in Peak District.The premises were a treat as were the staff and food.When in the Peak District again I will revisit this Cafe and check out the town of Ashbourne further.

Most weekends, we make it a point to visit Friends Café in Ashbourne. The convenience of having our caravan nearby makes it our top choice, and we're delighted by the fantastic menu they offer. Unlike your typical café, Friends serves a delightful blend of traditional favourites and unique dishes that you won't find anywhere else.But it's not just the food that keeps us coming back; the service is truly outstanding. The staff go above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. When we step inside, we immediately feel at ease, knowing we can truly unwind and savor the whole dining experience without a care in the world. Friends Café has become our go-to spot for unforgettable weekends, and we can't recommend it highly enough.

A Saturday morning breakfast over Easter. Didn't realise you needed to book but the staff were very accommodating and found us a table for 55 mins until the reservation was ready.We waited 15 mins to be served food. It was a busy morning.Food was delicious and very tasty, well presented but small portions for the money. The bread was granary artisan and absolutely lovely so 1 slice under my poached eggs didn't seem enough. The full breakfast was nice. Novus tea bags were amazing, I had Turmeric Citrus flavour.Would definitely recommend for breakfast, and the menu is extensive for lunches.

Oh my goodness, thank the heavens above that delicious scones like this exist. I can honestly say Stuart is the best baker in all the land. The scone was so perfect and just completely made my day. If you are on the hunt for the most perfect scone to ever exist, look no further and do yourself a favour and treat yourself to one at FRIENDS!!!

Just visited Tissington and no cafe was open . We traveled back into Ashbourne and found Friends Cafe and Tearoom.The places is really nicely decorated inside. Staff very helpful and friendly.Food excellent in quantity and quality.My wife had Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Sandwich and I had the Friends Special Breakfast and it did Iive up to its name.

Beautiful cafe and tearoom situated adjacent to the market square.Great choice of food, including breakfast lunches and dinner. They are licensed too.Staff are very friendly, happy to have a chat too.We ordered breakfasts and they came promptly and were lovely. One of the best I have had locally.Keep up the good work.Recommended.

Busy and popular place but we were seated quickly and served within a reasonable time. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding. The scrambled egg with smoked salmon on bread was so delicious. All fresh locally sourced food. We had a little cookie which was served with our cappuccino that was so tasty, when we asked if they sold them we were told they do but they were sold out, gutted as they were so tasty.

We came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. We had the full English breakfast and the eggs benedict. Both were delicious, beautifully presented and cooked well. Would definately recommend!

Brilliant Cafe! Great atmosphere and modern decor would happily travel to go here again when I'm in the area. Excellent menu with quality food. Very clean and welcoming, true to it's name as it is indeed friendly. My first visit here and will not be my last very impressed and also affordable great value for money. Service was instant and cannot fault the food would highly recommend. I had the small English breakfast which was just enough as the bread was a large slice very tasty and the presentation was lovely as the hash browns came in love heart shapes. Next time will come back for lunch time menu to try as there was a great selection to choose from, two very satisfied customers happily come back!
