Fine Country Stays

Myself and my husband have just returned from a lovely weekend stay to celebrate our recent wedding, on arrival we found the lodge to be clean, tidy and cozy just what we were looking for. We had a small issue on the first night which was promptly resolved by Kate (owner) she provided excellent customer service as she was away from site herself but still took the time to ensure we were looked after. We would highly recommend the lodges for a quiet, relaxing weekend away.We would definitely return!Charlotte & Craig

Booked this for an anniversary night away.Host cancelled it on us the afternoon before due to stay.Leaving our extended weekend with nothing else available to book.Very disappointed.

Myself and my other half were absolutely appalled by the cabin we had to stay in and even more so by Kate and Mitchell Baums customer service.We drove for three hours to get to fine country lodges/ fine country stays, only to find that the cabin we were informed that we were staying in (43) and given the key code for, was occupied by someone else. My other half knocked on the cabin we were told we were staying in as it looked occupied, and he was informed by the guests in 43 that they were originally supposed to be in cabin 41, but they had been moved to 43 due to the boiler being broke in their cabin.I then telephoned the owner Mitchell who put his wife Kate on, and I was told by Kate that we would be refunded but we were expected to drive the three hours back home. Kate was extremely rude to me and strangely proceeded to inform me that if we did not leave the park she was going to telephone the police. She then placed the call on hold for over ten minutes until I ended the call as it seemed she had no intention of talking to me any longer. She was obviously inebriated and not in any condition at all to be talking to guests at the holiday park.We were then told by a man called Paul, (who was on holiday at the park) that we could stay in cabin 41, which had a broken boiler. It also had a radiator leak and someone had placed tissue paper below it. The broken boiler meant we were unable to take a shower so could not use the hot tub as we would have had no way of washing the chlorine off afterwards. There were also many other issues and aesthetically, the cabin was an eye sore.I have photographs of all of this and have complained to the owners in writing and sent copies, with no response.Kate and Mitchell Baum were holidaying in Spain, and had not left anyone at all in attendance to run the park in their absence, so there was no one there to help us.I paid £220 for one night in a cabin for my other halfs birthday, which had no heating, a broken boiler, a leaking radiator and lots of other issues. It was also not next door to my friends who had been placed in cabin 44. We specifically asked for our cabins to be next door to each other and we were told that if we both paid directly to them by bank transfer we would be, but we were not.I will never be booking to stay there again and have never been so disappointed with anyone's customer service or the standard of a place I have stayed at before. Unfortunately, I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone.
