So true, we don’t appreciate what we have until we lose it! A week in a freezing house without heating and hot showers made me appreciate a reliable boiler.The boiler, I believe, is the heart of the home. Rod Dennis of May Day Plumbing had done a heroic job keeping my decrepit boiler alive in old age. However, the inevitable happened when all the bits wore out and it died. I desperately needed a new heart to keep my home warm, healthy and happy.Rod was just the man for the job. He recommended an Ideal boiler to suit my needs. The compact unit is affordable, smooth and easy to operate, reliable and long lasting. It comes with a jazzy little thermostat and timer.Rod and his assistant installed my new boiler in one day. It was a tough job requiring scrambling onto the roof to fit the new flue and lots of technical stuff I don’t understand but admire and feel gratitude for a skilful plumber with trustworthy expertise.So now, order is restored for winter. I can enjoy the pleasure of a cosy home with family and friends. I have great respect for my lovely boiler and my plumber, Rod. Thank you.

Contacted Mayday Plumbing regarding a leaking boiler. Rod was very polite and quickly diagnosed the problem parts. He discussed the next steps and proceeded to order the parts and later fit them.The price was also better than expected.

Plumber arrived really quickly and did a very thorough assessment of the situation before jet cleaning out the blockage. He was careful to avoid the washing drying near where he was working. He was very courteous as always. We always use Mayday for a quick, efficient and quality service.

I had a blocked drain and called Rod at Mayday He came very quickly and dealt with the problem within a few minutes. He was knowledgable and extremely helpful. Thank you Rod for your help in this matter. I will always recommend you in the future.

I cannot recommend Mayday enough,and they have helped me on numerous occasions. As a single Mum it can be difficult to keep on top of everything in the house and no job is too small for Mayday as they have helped me with loose taps in the past. They always respond immediately with a time which is so reassuring.On this occasion my boiler was playing up and we kept losing the hot water and heat. Rod answered straight away and even came out on a Sunday morning to assist. He explains what the problem was so clearly and kindly and managed to fix it there and then for such a reasonable price.Rod is always so professional, kind and helpful which immediately puts me at ease. I cannot recommend this company enough. Would give 10 stars !!
