Nursing and Midwifery Council
As a nurse who returned to practice after 10 years away, I noticed how poor this is. The ENB, 10 years ago ran accredited courses for nurses, had helplines , were engaged.Today , we have the NMC. It collects £130 a year, demands a 'portfolio' three feet thick, terrorises nurses with its hearings and as for as I can see, only used my £130 to prosecute nurses.

Unhelpful thieves. Just another excuse to take money from Nurses and Midwives that earn pitiful wages and have no mercy with spreading the cost of the £120 registration fee when you are struggling financially. Horrible organisation that is there to supposedly protect the public but doesn't give a toss about its members.

I would give zero stars if I could.The process to get a pin is nearly impossible and it doesn’t matter how much you call or email them, you get a different answer and no help.

Just a scam organisation who scam poor hard working Nurses and Midwifes out of their poultry wages which are shrinking every year as inflation increases and the wages stay the same. Time for a new Body to step in and get rid of these crooks. Time for a body who represnt nurses fairly and honestly. No Stars.

Rubbish service. They don't know nothing and they don't help you at all. They make you losing time and they don't take your qualification seriously. If you want to work as a nurse don't come to England because they don't give you a pin.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I am an overseas nurse trying to register with absolutely no progress after nearly 5 months. Impossible to get a hold of anyone who can work on your application. Emails generate automatic responses that say we will take up to 15 working days to get back to you" ha

Passed the osce exam last 29th April 2021 and up until now I am still waiting for my PIN. Almost all of their customer service are very rude and they do not even know their own regulations because each one I've spoken to had different regulations" or shall I say opinion in processing your application."

Absolutely disgusting organisation who remove names after first saying its fine to carry on working. Trying to contact the right person is a joke. They work from home" but they are actually in the building. Left documents and have heard nothing. They are the most disgusting organisation. No wonder nurses leave. Thanks NMC for unfairly treating me like dirt."

Incompetent. Not a fit and proper regulator to protect the public from harm. Allows it's nurses to operate beyond the scope of their expertise and carries out a biased investigation in which they were quite clearly reasoning backwards from the outset with every intention of finding in favour of their nurses, rather than on the evidence. The matter has been passed to relevant ngo's for investigation.
