Benone Holiday and Leisure Park

I stayed on the campsite with a 7 and a 17 year old. The place was absolutely lovely and we found it easily enough, it was a great base for travelling around and sightseeing, although we could have done with another few days to fit it all in.The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. My only quibble was with the cleanliness of the camping waste water facilities which of course is down to the other campers there at the time but over the 3 nights the waste water wasn't declogged at all.It's a dog friendly site and the surrounding woodland and beach were great for walks, we even got to see our first squirrel in its natural habitat and a couple of wild rabbits which was exciting.We will hopefully return at some stage but next time stay longer as we could have done with more time to spend hanging around the campsite to relax and enjoy the facilities and the amazing beach, the kids would also love to try out the swimming pools when it's open for the summer season.

Caravan site too cramped with caravans. Amenities are grubby and could do with a good clean and lick of paint.And the complex was just ridiculous when it came to prices. £20 to play crazy golf. Me and my 2 young boys went and played, 4 other families came straight after we got to the 2nd hole. We felt rushed and couldn't enjoy the game. Just like the caravan park, they cram in as much as possible for more money. You are even charged to watch your child when he/she is in the outdoors pool, which is small and shallow.Would I recommend this site.....absolutely not. There are far better caravan sites out there.Overall rating for site ....☆☆<---max

Was there at the end of the season. I expect it would be bedlam in mid summer.Nice place. Good for kids and pets.

Great spot.. spacious pitches...only prob no water at pitches. or near by.

Love this site. Decent sized pitchs and good facilities. The best access to the beach which is great for the kids. A lot of people moan about the Internet signal but for me that one of the bonuses as gets you off it to soak up the surroundings. My only hripe is that they clean the toilet block between 9 and 10 which is peak time so its ridiculous and should rethink that.

Stayed for 7 nights June 2023 in caravan site. Site itself keep neat and tidy, pitch we where on was quite small but just about adequate for a full size awning. Water and electric supply good. Phone signal not great (not the sites fault, but worth knowing about) Problem is the shower / toilet blocks. Not cleaned properly at all - site was only a quarter full for the first 4 days we were there so busy site not an excuse. Tiles in shower have a build up of scum from shampoo and shower gel, easy wiped clean but not touched the whole week we were there. Tray for setting shampoo bottles on in shower absolutely filthy. Discarded plaster sat there all week - so again not cleaned. Dried blood on the wall of one of the toilet cubicles. Very disappointed with the facilities, they may be old but that’s no excuse for the lack of cleaning by staff. Staff seem more interested in standing in office than getting out and doing something. Will be forwarding my concerns to relevant dept at the council. 5 stars for the condition of the site, 0 for facilities.

It is such a shame the place has everything to be 5 star all round.. The location prefect the café Waves is delicious.. The restroom and shower areas are awful they really need to be addressed
