Canoe the Wye Ltd

Our first time doing the all day canoe and it was fantastic. 6 of us in 2 canoes, tied together and we had such great fun. Beautiful gentle paddle with an abundance of wildlife. The weather was great for us, and it was certainly one of the best six hours we've spent on a river.

Great experience and good value. The team were really professional and well organised. The canoes are top notch and really easy to paddle. The Wye is lovely to paddle - a few stretches of small rapids and currents but nothing to be scared of. It is a great way to see the landscape and some wildlife. We spotted a kingfisher and you get different views of Symonds Yat etc. A really great activity...

I had a fantastic time!Really friendly staff, they gave us a good idea of how to manoeuvre the canoe, deal with falling out of it and were professional throughout.Theres a little fire engine grill with delicious warm and cold sandwiches and drinks if you need them and they do provide a barrel to keep your valuables.We got to see a lot of different bits of nature such as falcons ducklings and everything in between.I will also say the price for £30 a head for over 3 hours was well worth the money and i would happily go again.

Just had a brilliant 2 day trip with 7 friends. It started with a great briefing from 'Jim'. We had excellent weather, which no doubt added to our trip. The rapids were exciting!we had a nice coffee at the fire engine. CTW run a very slick and well organised operation. We would all go again. Thanks chaps.

I live locally, but we had friends in from the States who wanted to go canoeing. We did the full day from Ross Vegas down to Symonds Yat. I've never canoed before, but the safety brief was more than enough to give me confidence. We all had an incredible time from start to finish. The team were friendly, helpful and knew there stuff, and the value for money was amazing. I'll definitely be booking with these guys again. My only advice would be - put sun tan lotion on the tops of your knees! 10/10.

We did a 2 day expedition from Hoarwithy to Symonds Yat, staying overnight at Ross on Wye. Having arrived at Symonds Yat for the kit issue and mandatory safety briefs, we were taken up river for the start of our amazing journey. The team were helpful, well mannered and enjoyed some light banter with our kids. The 60 litre drums provided, gave ample space for two day sacks to be waterproofed. The trip was incredible; we were blessed with cloudless days, very little wind and the price was very reasonable as well. Once we finished the second day, the staff pulled the boats out of the water and moved them inland so that we could focus on our own personal kit; they even allowed us to bring our cars down to the waters edge to transport our kit from the water back to their centre; little things, but it was welcomed as we had the full camping setup in the boats as well.Would highly recommend and will likely go again when in the area.

We had an absolutely wonderful time canoeing on the river Wye on the day trip from Ross on Wye to Symonds Yat.The staff were friendly and helpful, and the map provided was great as it helped us keep an eye out for interesting landmarks. We saw loads of wildlife, including cormorants and Kingfishers. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this company. We’re a family of 4 and did the 1 day trip (Ross on Wye to Symonds Yat). The staff were great; friendly, professional and efficient with a good safety briefing and info about the route. We opted to have our canoes rafted together, which not only reduces the risk of capsizing but was a way more sociable option! Thanks, Canoe the Wye, we had a really great day.

Easily the highlight of our trip to the Forest of Dean, if not the whole summer. Canoeing the Wye was a special experience and Canoe the Wye Ltd were excellent from start to finish. The great service, safety briefing, equipment and direction made the 3-4 hours we spent on the water so relaxing. We'll definitely be back for more. Our heartfelt thanks to all the team.
