Date in a Dash - Speed Dating Events in London

Total sham of a company. Since June i've been trying to get my money back after they changed the venue location without notifying ticket holders about this. The embarrassment I felt turning up to the madison bar, only for the bouncer to tell me they've moved the event to a different location. Save your money and time cos they'll definitely rob you of it.

I am only giving 3 stars because the communication via email with Rob was very good. However in terms of the experience itself, I booked a ticket which was apparently cancelled. However no one was informed of the alleged cancellation, around 6/7 other people turned up along with us to the venue (one of whom commuted 2 hours), and the venue manager was not aware of there ever having being a booking. This led us to of course believing it was a scam. We ourselves commuted 1 hour however the travel fees could not be reimbursed. I was also more concerned when I researched the other negative reviews, and many of these commenters reported a very similar experience to us.The one positive is that Rob was a good email communicator. He initially said that he could not issue a refund as it was part of the company cancellation policy. However then agreed that because there was no official cancellation, he would instead refund the ticket fee, and offer us a free ticket to another event.So in terms of the event itself, it would have to be a 0 star, because of the mix up.In terms of communication with the company, it would be a 5 star. I would be happy to write another more positive review should we have a better experience down the line.

Attended a Wednesday night event at Piano Works. The venue was lovely and the host Rob was great at explaining how the evening would work and making everyone feel comfortable before the dates started. We had around 15 dates and loads of people stayed afterwards to hang out and chat more. Whilst I didn't make a match at this event, I did meet lovely people and will definitely be back. I would recommend this speed dating especially for anyone needing a break from the apps!

The most fascinating experience I've had in these Easter holidays! Haven't found my Bunny yet, however, having an opportunity communicating to diversity of a wonderful people was exceptionally beneficial for uplifting my spirit.In the era of technology, we need to connect more on a face-to-face basis. Definitely looking forward to enjoying another speed dating event hosted by a very friendly and attentive Rob. :)Thank you for those entertaining and memorable moments!

I booked an event for Wednesday 27th September. I was not informed the event was not going ahead but luckily I rang the venue on the day as soon as they opened at 5pm. This event should have started at 7:30pm so this was cutting it fine time-wise. The venue told me that the organisers hadn't officially booked in with them and told me the event was not going ahead. I had not received an email or phone call from the event organisers informing me that the event had been rescheduled or cancelled.I emailed the Date In A Dash on 27/9/23. I provided all information they had asked for and attached receipt of my ticket in an email on 6/10/23. On 12/10/23 they asked me for my bank details and I still haven't received a refund. I have tried to chase this up again with an email and have had no response.Really disappointing experience. They take your money and don't even book in with the venue. DO NOT BOOK!

Just a rubbish experience, bought a ticket on Eventbrite for the Board Games event in Clapham. The ticket had the wrong location at 47 Old Town. On the day, I showed up to the venue to be told it hadn’t been run there in years. After some Google searches, went to the new venue, at Battersea Rise to be told the event had been cancelled on the day, with less than 12 hours notice to the start of the event. When I requested a refund, for this event and one I booked for the following week, I was told they don’t offer refunds, you can only book again. Why would I want to book again after this shambolic experience, please read the fine print before purchasing a ticket. As a courtesy to customers after cancelling on them, it seems fair to offer them a refund for wasting their time and effort. All I found with DateinaDash was a dash for my cash!

The events are held in really trendy and cool bars in London, met some really nice people at them. I always have a good time at these events if I don't match with someone, I have certainly made some friends so it's a win win!

This is a scam avoid at all cost. I went to Trinity ball for this event today, the manager informed me that they are not aware of any event being held here.Rob's comment is nonsensical. Only thing I can say is that he did issue my refund. However my time is valuable and I can't get that back. I could attached a photo of the advert showing it for a Tuesday. Additionally, I could attach Robs email and my ticket; showing the mixup was not on my end, but there's. Very unprofessional company, do not use them. My time is more valuable than the £20 ! Plus I paid a taxi to go to the venue and to go back home!

Really fun nights! You meet lots of cool people and the atmosphere is great. The hosts are really friendly as well and make you feel welcome. Would definitely recommend!
