Lovely pub tucked out of the way in a stunning location. Staff were very friendly and efficient and beer was good and of a far price. £8.10 for 2 pints. Down side was the food, unfortunately the food let this place down, it was all edible but could and should of been so much better.

Decided to drive into the countryside for a change of scenery yesterday with my mother. After a long but picturesque drive we landed at the Dyke Neuk Inn, our intention was to find a cozy country pub that served delicious food and every one of our expectations were met.I feel like having the restaurant at the back open would be advantageous as the locals seem to form around the bar and the door which can be a little awkward when they're all talking at once to make people aware that you're trying to pass. But everyone was friendly and the place was super cozy with a nice coal fire burning in the background which was perfect. My mother ordered the Hanging chicken kebab (wasn't exactly sure what it meant) and it was exactly how described. Delicious chunks of chicken skewered between mushrooms, onions and peppers hanging from a hook that had the base below the plate, my mum was so happy with her meal and they were happy to change normal potato chips to sweet potato fries to suit her allergy requirements.I had the slow roasted crispy belly pork, I had imagined maybe a few thin slices of belly pork but what came was beyond what I expected, a generous serving of bubble and squeak with a chunk of belly pork cooked to perfection placed on top with some slow roasted veggies at the side and cabbage with gravy (but not your weak unseasoned gravy the good stuff). To summarize I've got to say the food was outstanding both presentation and taste (hats off to the chef) table service was prompt, friendly but also professional, the price was worth it and very reasonable. Besides the odd shuffle passed the locals the overall experience was top notch and would visit again without a doubt (just maybe not weekly as it's a fair drive from home).Note to management, your staff are absolutely spot on and I hope they get the praise they deserve. The only things I could mention for Improvement would be better signage for where the toilets are situated and maybe like I said a separation between where the locals congregate and where dining guests are. The atmosphere was great but like I mentioned above they all seem to get on and when they all get talking it's hard for them to hear one voice saying excuse me from the back.

Smashing archetypical country pub/hotel. Great menu choices and food excellent. Staff really friendly. Plenty of parking and no incongruous loud music! Definitely recommend going if in the area.

Fabulous food in a wonderful setting. Visited for lunch and the food is excellent quality and served in a very appealing way. We opted for the special lunch menu. Three courses for £12.50. Fantastic value for money. Worth the effort to visit as it is off the beaten track. Bonus points for being dog friendly.

Absolutely lovely meal. Went for a family day out, food was lovely, great veggie options, reasonable priced. It was a freezing cold day the welcome from the staff was as warm as the welcome coal fires. Defiantly be back for more food.
