Good hide from elevated position gives a good view over the wetlands. Big car park as well.

Nosterfield Nature Reserve
At the moment it is very, very dry. However, still a total haven for wildlife.The water levels are a good 15 feet plus down. Global warming. Very little rain.

Absence of any facilities is a limiting factor if intending to stay for an extended period as often is the case when bird watching, but the hides are excellent.

No circular walk but the paths stay mud free so good if it's been raining. Bird hides and vehicular viewing area.

A great nature reserve in-between nosterfield and Tanfield unfortunately didn't get to spend as much time as would have liked as stopped of to see the starling murmuration, was a great show and all so got to see a stoat. Definitely be back on my next visit up north
