Chuck and Blade Burgers

I recently had the unfortunate experience of trying the burgers and pizza at chuck and blade. I have to say, it was hands down the worst dining experience I have ever had.Let's start with the burgers. I ordered a classic cheeseburger and was immediately disappointed when it arrived. The patty was thin and overcooked, resembling a hockey puck more than a juicy burger. The bun was dry and stale, and the toppings were sparse and unappetizing. I took one bite and immediately regretted my decision to eat here.But the disappointment didn't end there. My wife ordered a pepperoni pizza, and it was just as bad. The crust was soggy and undercooked, and the cheese was barely melted. The pepperoni was tasteless and seemed like it had been sitting out for hours. We couldn't even finish one slice before giving up and pushing it away.To make matters worse, the service was terrible. Our server was rude and seemed annoyed by our presence. We had to ask for drinks multiple times and our food took forever to arrive. It was clear that the staff did not care about providing a good dining experience, as they spend the majority of their time chatting at the bar.I couldn't believe that this restaurant was genuinely in business. A NEW restaurant no less. The food was not only unappetizing, but it was also overpriced. I wouldn't have paid half the price for the low-quality food we received. A shame to see a new business for Eastbourne be such a waste of money. One more pointless burger joint.Overall, I would give this restaurant one star and warn anyone I know to stay far away. I have had better burgers and pizza from fast food chains, and that says a lot. Save your money and your taste buds and avoid this place at all costs. It's not worth the disappointment and frustration.

Great food, great atmosphere. reasonably priced.Our server was Elle, she was 10/10. Sadly another server came over to take the bill and skipped the gratuity option on the machine. Give Elle a raise!

Dined in at the restaurant which was on their first weekend of opening, and was greeted by one of the owners who was very honest with us and advised us that it was their soft launch weekend and that there had been a few hiccups with their ordering system however, we decided to wait it out..... and I can tell you that it was well worth the wait (which wasn't that long to be fair - and we were compensated) ordered the East Tenders and Filthy Fagin Loaded Fries which were absolutely delicious! There was a great atmosphere and the staff were fantastic. If highly recommended eating here.

Dined here, with 6 of my mates, at about 6 pm, and all 7 of us were extremely impressed by the service we received, over at the Eastbourne establishment. I got the J.D. Cookies & Cream Boozeshake and genuinely loved it, and the Big Dipper burger was incredible, as well as the Truffle & Cheese Loaded Fries.The waitress, Ellie, did an incredible job and interacted with both my mates, and I, perfectly and made us feel very welcome, and overall had a positive impact on our experience, and it definitely encourages us to return again, in the future. As mentioned earlier, the food was incredible, and we will definitely return to dine here again.Thank you for your service- Josh

Having been a burger fan I saw this place did a two for one burger deal on Tuesday. So me and my friend went to see what's up. The place is inside the Beacon shopping centre upstairs and very clean and well decorated. I had no issue with my service dog and was made to feel at home and very welcome. Our server Sam was really helpful and we ordered two double smashed burgers with brisket. It came with a size of gravy to dip the while burger in that was very American. The sides are absolutely huge and I could not finished the potato tots. We also has a couple of beers and the bill came to under 40 quid for the meal. I was very full and will definitely be back to taste their chicken burgers and pizza.

I don’t often leave reviews for but wow, this place has blown me away and I just had to comment. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. I was served by a young lady who I believe was called Alice. She couldn’t have done more to help us (a rather picky bunch). She was very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu and even gave us recommendations which we got and LOVED.I will definitely be returning and it is all thanks to your lovely staff. You don’t get service like this in most other places in Eastbourne anymore.

Went to Chuck and Blade having been to the cinema with my partner. When we arrived it was not busy and we were informed that there were no pizzas available which was fine. I informed the server we were both gluten free and they handed an allergen sheet but unfortunately it has not got everything on it. I wanted to have a gravy dip but there weren't sure if it was suitable for us. The food was good and you get lots of chips. I would say the biggest thing to let it down is the lack of atmosphere and the music is a bit too loud. I will go back as they do gluten free buns.

There was 9 of us and the place wasn’t that busy and we waiting 1 hour and 20 mins for the food to come out and it all came out 5 mins apart and then they forgot one of our meals.They didn’t even know what food they were brining to the table. And then half of the trash trays was missing.The burgers were ok. The chicken was nice and juice but the batter just fell off.The halloumi fries was the worst I have ever had they were dripping with oil.The only thing what was good was the chips and the milk shake:We all go to a lot of different restaurants and definitely wouldn’t go back to this one!
