I'm giving a one star because you can't give zero. Do not take your wedding dress for alterations here! I asked for hemming, a bustle, and to have the bust area taken in. It was not hemmed. It was only done so that the bustle would work on the sides - and I was told it was 'impossible' to bustle it properly (not so, as I've now had a competent alterations specialist bustle it). And finally, while the top was taken in, it was not taken in well - the neckline had a gap on the right hand side and the back was tight enough to give me skin bulge - something very upsetting when I started out with enough material that the right fit should have been achievable.To top it off I was delayed a week with very little reason given. Take your dress elsewhere!

I am a larger lady and on visits to other bridal shops, I was made to feel like I did not belong in these places due to my size, however when I went to Japlene’s I felt the way I should do, a beautiful bride to be. I sat with the owner Polly and we designed a dress that would suit me, and one that I had always dreamed I would wear on my wedding day. She also designed my bridesmaids dresses. The intricacy of the design of my dress was beautifully executed and I was very pleased withMy dress. I would highly recommend Japlene.
