Heavers

We have had our front door replaced by Heavers. The old one was removed with care and the new one fitted efficiently and expertly. Every care was taken to ensure that the finish was perfect. Any mess was cleared away completely leaving us with a beautiful door. We were impressed with the craftsmen ship of the installers who were polite, hard working and very skilled. It was obvious that they were keen to do the best job possible.

We had 7 window sets (about 22 years old) replaced with new sets by Heavers. The work was done on time and to the budget price over 3 consecutive days. The 2 operatives were very capable, communicative and friendly. There was one incident that caused concern on the first day when a window set was mishandled during removal resulting in the glass shattering and some damage to roof tiles on a single storey lounge extension. Luckily we had some spares and they were replaced the next morning satisfactorily within the first hour of work.The finished work is of high quality both in terms of the materials used and the overall workmanship and therefore gives satisfaction in giving us what we asked for at a suitable price.

Our new replacement porch is brilliant compared to the old and is a testimony to the high standard of Heavers' work and their attention to detail.

Heavers recently installed new windows at the back of my house and a new front door. As other reviewers have already mentioned, they are not the cheapest, but the quality of the product and skill of the installers means they are worth every penny. Clayton and Billy observed sensible Covid rules, respected my home, worked neatly and cheerfully, and above all did such a good job that I have now asked Heavers to replace the remaining windows. Thanks also to Brett, Fiona, Naomi and Ross for your helpfulness during the whole process. I have no hesitation in recommending Heavers.

We are delighted with the installation. In fact, I have to compliment Heavers on the fitters. Ollie and Toby were very professional, helpful and a pleasure to have working at the house. They were very efficient and took great care in their work leaving the house very tidy and clean. Thank you.

The work was in 2 stages, one to accurately measure and agree the job, the second the actual fitting. The first stage obviously worked well as the window, plus extending the size of the opening worked well.The two people who actually came to do the work were, throughout the whole experience, professional, helpful and hard-working (even braving the horrible wet weather that passed through). They left a neat finish and no mess. (Heavers also sub-contracted a local plasterer - Eugene Crabb - to finish internally, only a small job, but well done also).My only complaint, and I know this has been a difficult year for many reasons, was delay and more especially keeping me informed. It was necessary for me to seeks updates every month.However, the end result is just as we hoped for, better even.

Old polycarbonate conservatory roof replaced with glass double-glazingThe team at Heavers gave us professional, responsive and friendly service throughout this project. Following detailed advice on products and a meticulous site survey (even returning to double-check some measurements), they installed the new glass with great care and skill, despite having to remedy shoddy work by previous builders. Gavin and his colleagues always arrived promptly, worked hard all day, and left the site clean, tidy and secure at night. Their positive, can-do approach to the job from start to finish was remarkable and made the entire project painless for us. The result is exactly what we wanted.
