We always find the staff very helpful and approachable. Yesterday our food was serviced by a very polite young man named Connor. He was always informative if we had any questions. Nothing was too much trouble. It’s been a while since we’ve visited and forgot how nice the food and environment was here. We have said we are going to make this a more frequent place to eat. Thank you so much for welcoming us

I’ve been to two Christmas afternoon events with entertainment Motown afternoon 7th December, I was unaware there was a set menu, purely my error as I hadn’t read the email properly but the Carvery was not to my taste. The General Manager Phil was extremely accommodating, arranging for me to have Hake plus Potatoes & Vegetables from the Carvery. My party of 4 really enjoyed the afternoon, Food, Service and Entertainment was excellent.On 14th December I’d arranged for 6 people to attend the 60’s afternoon party, again food, service and entertainment were excellent but 2 people felt it lacked the atmosphere of a Christmas Party, they were uncomfortable that members of the general public were coming in and out to dine although they were guided to a different area. They had expected it to be be in a separate room and all revellers celebrating Christmas. I understand that due to Economic circumstances in the Lockdown followed by the cost of living crisis, the Hospitality sector has suffered more than most, personally, I understand the reason for maximising potential profit but although they enjoyed the afternoon, it was not what they expected.

Went for evening meal. We didn't have a reservation but they found us a table anyway. A young lad served us, he was new and still working things out but was lovely and helpful. Food was lovely. Kids enjoyed the play area. We enjoyed our time there

I was on table 29. The man who served us was great. He explained how to order, he let us know when the food was arriving so we could get our carveries & he was really friendly. The food was good and reasonably priced. I would definitely return.

Visited early on a Sunday. Being one of the first customers everything was fresh, very well cooked and presented and lots of vegetable options available. Between the two of us we tried three of the meats on offer and all were nicely cooked and the meat was lean & tasty. Yorkshire Puds were good. Lots of nice sauces and gravy to accompany the main meal. Staff veryhelpful. Ordering food & drinks via App was easy and convenient.

The table that we were given was far too small and putting the food onto our plates became a bit of a juggling act, this was a birthday treat which my partner arranged but it was far from memorable, the flies didn’t help either.

Booked a table for 3 for 3.30 last Sunday 15/10. We all had the carvery. Would have given a 5 but the potatoes were over cooked, as if they were cooked the night before and re cooked on the day. We couldn’t even cut through them they were so hard on the outside and hard to chew. Everything else was really nice so we didn’t complain, the roast potatoes just let it down a bit hence the 4 stars. Staff are very friendly and polite.

Amazing customer service. I had booked online for 4 people. When we got there, the manager Phil noticed we had an elderly gentleman who had a walking aid so he went out of his way to sit us somewhere warm but nearer for my old friend. He taught us through how to order online and made sure that we had receipts so we knew what we had ordered. Phil also made sure that he brought the carvery for our old friend to us so that he didn't have to move. The manager was amazing and we are definitely going again.

This was my birthday family celebration and because there was 10 of us our usual Toby Carvery couldn't fit us in at a family friendly time. I googled and found the Vikings Landing and to be honest I didn't know what to expect, I booked online which was straight forward and the clan arrived at the planned time.Phil the manager met us at the door, he was so friendly and showed us to an amazingly large table so we could all sit together. Esther was setting up the table and she was delightful, chatting and smiling , we felt at home instantly.The kids enjoyed playing outside, it was great!The bar staff explained how to book and we selected our carvery dinners. The food was excellent ! The waiter and waitress (can't remember their names) were also so friendly and helpful too. Bringing out my cake singing happy birthday! The whole experience made it one of the best birthdays I have enjoyed in a long time.On leaving I noticed they had a doggy friendly area too, we have a puppy and that was great to see.We will definitely be back and we have already recommended Vikings Landing to family and friends and they have been since and had an equally lovely experience!Well done to the manager and all the staff! ❤️
