Very expensive.I took my dog in with a limp, they wanted to charge £500-£1000 for a single x-ray.Then got some story about being understaffed so the x-ray had to be done that day, really putting the pressure on.I left, my dogs limp went away in a couple of days and safe to say, I have moved to a different vet.

I have my 2 golden retrievers on the VIP membership Stokewood Veterinary Centre. Can easily get an appointment for my pups whenever I need with no extra charge. Lovely people. They really care for the dogs and are very helpful

As always Stonewood was as professional as ever. Talking to our lab Pepper from the outset and making him feel relaxed. The appointment was for 4pm and as usual we arrived early. They saw Pepper and gave him a treat. Pepper never even noticed that the lady had given him his yearly injection. Altogether as always quick efficient professional and timely. No wonder Pepper can't wait to get inside when we take him lol.Thank You.

If I could rate it a 0 I would! I called the practice concerning a lump on my puppy's back.I got a blood test for Pablo to check for cancer/tumours, fast forward one week and the injection site hasn't healed and looks infected also I hadn't heard back about the results.I called the practice to book an appointment to check on the injection site as I was concerned and to see if the results had come back for the blood test.I was told over the phone that the symptoms were normal and not to worry about it, the lady on the phone put me on hold to check for the results to be told they haven't got them back yet.Monday I called again for the results and an appointment the young lady told me i had voicemail with the results but she couldn't tell me what they were.I checked my voicemail and was left a message 1 or 2 days after the initial test! So basically I was left to think the worst for around 2 weeks because this was missed when they checked on the initial phone call.It has taken me to bring Pablo in with infection on show to get an appointment because they have no vets working and are relying on agency vets.Even then i had to beg for 5 mins being told no vets were working until next week and told to wait, magically an appointment appeared for the following day!The agency vet was amazing she straight away noticed Pablo has a retained testicle which amazingly has gone unnoticed for 12 months! This can lead to many illnesses and can be fatal she gave Pablo steroids and antibiotics and highly recommended neutering.Oh and I paid for them to claim of my insurance which they didn't, I did.In my eyes they are a dishonest and incompetent practice which showed no empathy towards my PUPPY for too long therefore I won't be using their services again and have gone with vets4pets which were highly recommended. This picture is before I took him into them and the receptionist still tried saying it was normal and there were no appointments until she pulled an appointment from thin air. They allowed my puppy and judging by their reviews alot more peoples pets to suffer unnecessarily.

I did highly rate this vetinary minus their high prices. That was until my father passed away last November which affected my well-being, and I missed my payment for my membership by about a month. I called up to apologise, explain my situation and settle the payment, but was told that I cannot continue as a member. They were extremely vague as to why, and said something about their system or policy not allowing me to continue, but that I can rejoin in June or July and can continue as a normal non membership customer until then. Which basically means I would be spending alot more with them as the membership saves money. There was no compassion towards my personal situation and grievance, nor did they attempt to problem solve and retain my membership. It seemed they wanted my money at maximum but didn't want to help, so I left.Fast forward to today, they still send me reminder texts about my cat despite me calling and asking them to stop contacting me. So they have been using my data incorrectly.I wasn't going to write a review based on my previous experience, but here I am since they keep texting me, reminding me of this poorly handled incident.Stokewood vets, please use my data appropriately, respect my request and stop texting me. I won't ask you again, but I will report this if it happens once more as this is arguably a breach of the data protection act.

very relaxed atmosphere, just recently joined, my cat was very calm with the vet that we had which is unusual for him as he is very timid, really liked the clinic, vet and receptionist on the day xxx

Our puppy Chase had an overnight stay at Stokewood vets and I cannot tell you how thankful I am for all the wonderful staff, especially Adrian. It is a privilege to have Chase at Stokewood. All of you did your best for him and provided high quality care and love for our Chase and I cannot thank you enough for that. These challenging times are hard for everyone but I am so appreciative for all of the staff members as it is no different for all of you doing your day to day job at the very best you can for all the pets that come your way. So thank you. I am so glad we have gone with this vets and from the bottom of my heart am so pleased with the care you gave my puppy and will forever be thankful for it. It is so surreal with everything going on but for these amazing staff members it is no different seeing as they are still working. I am so grateful their are people like all of you in these world. Very happy that we are with Stokewood and would highly recommend to anyone! You are all amazing! Stay safe and take care, all of you. Extra special thank you from Chase :)

Thank you for the wonderful care and compassion shown for Mindy.Absolutely the best vets, wonderful, friendly staff. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. I've also had guinea pigs in the past, and not many places will take them on. Adrian has always shown such care.Gill Smith

Be very careful, you MUST ensure you get a written quote for treatments!!!We had been using Stokewood for years and have recommended them to various friends with pets, we are exceptionally disappointed and feel very taken advantage of for trusting them, so we have just moved vets. We were charged over £200 more than we were originally quoted for dental treatment - no teeth were removed, no x-ray was done - just sedate and scale polish for a medium sized young dog which cost £540!!! this is significantly over what other vets are charging in the area for the same service (approx £300)The reason for the difference in quote and then what was charged was a glitch in their system/them not recording the quotation they previously gave us.
