Fabulous experience today at American Golf. Needed some help sorting out a new set of irons and Tim was amazing in working through them with me, helping me to test and eventually sorting me out with a cracking set of Ping irons. Thanks Tim, didn't realise choosing a new set of clubs would be such a great experience. Really appreciated. See you soon for a new 3 wood!

Really helpful and knowledgeable staff here. Spacious shop that is usually well stocked, though, like many golf outlets it is heavily weighted towards male golfers - ladies clothing in particular is in very short supply.

Best American golf i have been to, all staff could not do enough to help and advise. Knowledgeable and all employees take the time to understand your needs and sell appropriately. Absolutely faultless service both in person and over the phone. Many thanks to Nick who eventually found me the perfect clubs.

Regularly go there. Good golf. Goof food. Easy access and plenty of parking. Even if not golfing friendly staff always welcome you for a drink or a meal.Added bonus is the American golf shop to get all your golfing needs.

friendly and laid back. Excellent facilities for first timers getting into sport. I came to golf 72+ and now 76. Am told have a two handicap ! (no money & no talent) Play 3 times a week, have regular coaching and can't wait to wear some whacky trousers.

Custom Fitting for woods and irons with Tim - What a fantastic experience! Tim has been fitting clubs for many years and is extremely knowledgeable. He quickly assessed my ability and requirements and set me up with exactly the right equipment that clearly showed enormous gains in consistency, distance and accuracy. This was in the simulator, but fully validated on the driving range.There was no pushy sales or steer towards any particular product, it was purely focused on what works for my game, long term. There was absolutely no rush to make any decision and more than ample time to fully test the equipment.I was slightly sceptical about custom fitting, but the data doesn't lie and Tim can make very quick, educated adjustments that deliver instant results. He recommended a club/brand that I wouldn't immediately have considered, but the appeal was absolutely instant; 10+ yards gained with a 7 iron and extremely tight grouping. He'll even give advice on improving your swing!As for American Golf as a retailer the store has great stock levels at the moment. There's some really well priced, quality products and it's just a fun, relaxing store to visit. And huge benefit of being at a very well equipped golf centre!
