Tom was fantastic - he agreed to take a look at my bike at short notice before a race. The repair was quick, a very reasonable price and my bike is riding much better than before. Can highly recommend :-)

Tom has completed two bike projects for me. One a rebuild following the need to replace a bike frame. Rebuilding the bike he also advised on changing components that reduced the cost yet maintained the performance the road bike.He also built an adventure/gravel bike for me. Having decided on the frame myself, Tom recommended group set, wheels and finishing kit that came in within the budget I set. A great build and a bike I love!Ps I’m his Dad and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him.

Top level service from Tom! He fully replaced both of my brakes due to some wear and tear they had suffered over the years. While doing that he noticed some issues with my headset so he sorted that out too. I received regular updates via email about his progress and he even sent photos to show the work that needed doing. All the work was done in good time and and at a very reasonable price. I can highly recommend Tom and his new workshop! Will definitely be bringing my bike here next time it needs some TLC!

Tom is such a talented gent. Couldn't be happier - he stripped my Giant racing bike back to its parts, cleaned and reassembled. Basically a new bike again. Great value too. Thanks Tom.

I needed a set of wheels replaced on my bike. Tom was able to provide buying advice and when the new wheels came, he swapped the wheels over, refitted the cassette, fitted new tyres and brought the bike back the next day. Great value, quick turnaround and really pleased with Tom’s overall service & knowledge. Won’t hesitate to use again, thanks Tom.

I had a bike that hadn't been used in a couple of years, and I wanted to have it looked at to ensure it was still roadworthy. Mindful that it would probable be pricey to have it serviced at a high street retailer, for what was probably a very basic job, and a bit of a logistical pain to get over to a store, I got in contact with Tom at The Grease Monkey who'd been highly recommended several times through our local social networks. Tom was extremely responsive at scheduling a convenient time to come to me, and arrived promptly to give the bike a thorough health check, declining to charge me for what he deemed was a straightforward job.I have no hesitation in recommending Tom, a courteous, conscientious and professional bike aficionado. Tom should be commended for his mobile 'come to you' bike business, a quality service that puts the customer first and takes the frustration out of what would otherwise be a time consuming and logistically unwieldy exercise.

Really great work from tom been taking a few of my bikes everything he's done what i asked hands down 10 out of 10 on everything and alot better then halfords or vale cycles (vale I used in the past wich always good but retirement came In from him) but he's ace I cannot fault on his work

As someone who enjoys riding bikes but doesn't have the necessary skills to perform some of the more complicated elements of maintenance, I was pleased to see a new bike business starting up locally. I took my bike in to Tom for a chain replacement, brake bleed and general tune up, and am very happy with the service he provided. I will be taking the bike back in at the end of summer for a once over.
