Temple Springs Fishery

This is the perfect getaway very nice hosts amazing location and extremely cosy! Mi highly recommend this to anyone travelling around Northern Ireland. It's hard to find better value for money.

great wee place but only for bait fishing its not a fly fishing lake , as we thought it was . we thought wed give it a challenge we stayed about an hour ... my pal landed a few on fly great wee fighting brownies ... sorry we didnt stay to meet owners .... would be great to see throw tym over the yrs as you could male these 2 wee lakes into something special ... like 1 big lake remove some trees and this could be an outstanding place .... great camping plot ground if u want take your kids fishing a weekend prices are cheap .... £8 a day for your kids to bait fish .... sorry norman on last reveiw i removed it as it wasnt meant to be putting it up ... if u want to fly fish it youd need fly fish with a small flyrod . as i was trying fly fish it with a 10ft rod maybe this is y i lost so many flies ..... there is alot off possible good things could be done here great spot ... great area ... great fish , great fly life .... i never read the full post on templesprings page so ut was my own fault be4 we even went there ..... but i might come bk a tym with younger generation , too learn them ropes on bait fishing .... as we need alot more young anglers coming up the stages ....

We stayed here in a campervan. I think this is new and I would expect it to improve. Overall, I would recommend this site. It's good value for money and basic, so not for everyone. Location is reasonable and Bert is a good host and accomodating. The toilets are in an interesting mobile home. My main issue is the road is steep and gravelly, so easy to slip by van. There is an upper site to camp on to avoid this road. Oh and the fishing is down hill from the camping.

A lovely, intimate fishing lake. It's small enough to feel close to the fish but big enough to need a decent length cast to reach them.I enjoyed a few hours being toyed with by the fine brown and rainbow trout. Both species gave good, energetic accounts for themselves and fought as hard as any trout twice their size.The bushes have been trimmed so there are plenty of spots to get a full back cast for fly fishing.Try it, you'll like it.

Had a fantastic day fishing with my 2 daughters who caught 5 fish each. We can't wait to go back. Soon I hope lol

A great fishery for the kids or a novice to learn how to fish on. It's well ran and kept clean and tidy. The two lakes are well stocked with brownies and rainbows and at £8 for a C&R day ticket you couldn't beat it with two big sticks 5*

Excellent place to stay at for the night. The house is clean. The kitchen is well furnished and the five beds are comfortable.The animals looking by the windows were a good surprise in the morning.

Two small trout lakes too much weed in water for good fly fishing but a lovely spot for bait fishing tucked away. Would go again in autumn

A real hidden gem. Great set up and run by a friendly and knowledgeable owner who was happy to take the time to help my son learn to cast. Good quality equipment available too if you don't have your own. Ended up spending four hours, I don't know where the time went it was such a peaceful spot. And we came away with two lovely trout for dinner!
