First time at this place, we booked a table for 6, turned up with 8 of us and they were very accommodating. Food was excellent, authentic and priced well. No alcohol sold on site, but they were happy for you to bring a bottle, no corkage charged. Would definitely come again.

Like many have said this place was empty on our visit, but we have been before and the food is always excellent. There were four of us and we brought our own wine. Poppadoms were great and we all enjoyed our main courses, my dosa was fab. Considering it was so quiet, I never thought for one moment the food was anything but freshly cooked. Really great flavours, and I don't know why more people don't come here. Always been massively impressed with the food.

Very friendly staff and truly honest Indian food. Lamb biryani is highly recommendable (do not eat the pepper if you are not accustomed to spicy food :-) ). Delhi chai is delicious!

Such a lovely time at Simply Indian. I booked it for a friends birthday and I’m so glad I did! The thali is absolutely delicious and I couldn’t believe how reasonable the bill was! Such a plus it’s BYOB!!

Wow, somebody wake me up, I thought was in the depths of Indian flavour town (just south of Delhi). The flavours were barking, and my tastebuds were listening! The Goat Curry is something I will certainly rush back for, complimented splendidly by the peshwari naan and pilau rice. This place is a well affordable hidden gem, that reminds me of my childhood (Spicy, delicious wholesomeness).A real treat, and I couldn’t recommend more!

Had a narrow escape from having to dine at this restaurant by choosing to leave because there were BIG RED Flags at every moment. Never in all my life have we experienced such outright uncouth, intimidating conduct, & toxic energy towards guests from someone in the hospitality business anywhere in the world! It was unbelievable. My wife & I saw this place while staying nearby on our visit to London. She has already eaten a fast food meal but decided to give me company as I decided to dine here. Only one other couple was already dining (non-Indian). And only 1 other worker apart from the owner himself. 1st Redflag- Badly edited & presented, unclear menu, with items/prices crossed out etc. 2nd Redflag- Owner bluntly informed us that each person would HAVE TO order a separate main dish to sit there! This was not our need but his warped reasoning defied every logic. Plus his subtle hostile energy felt enough to to start making us feel uncomfortable. 3rd Redflag- We told him that we would be happy to order a take away instead, to which he actually tried to deter us by that they give smaller proportions for the same item in take away than for dine-in! By now, we knew all was not right here & experiencing extremely negative vibe, we decided to nevertheless order take away just to get away quickly from this thuggery & manipulation. We didn’t want to leave without ordering anything because we’d already eaten the bit of free poppadum they’d served us the moment we’d come in & sat down. 4th Redflag- As soon as we ordered, they presented us with an inflated bill which btw also included charges for the assumedly free poppadum! It was not about the couple of extra pounds for it but the whole obvious thuggery going on in the name of an Indian restaurant! 5th & Final Redflag which is Enough in itself To Stay Far away from this place even if the previous reasons have not yet unfazed your courage- The owner is racist, abusive, & threatening! As soon as we questioned this bill & also why they served us something without asking if it wasn’t on the house, this owner literally became mad with anger & aggression & simply started attacking us verbally; shouting, foul mouthing & abusing us as Indians saying things like, “You Indians are always like this!”, & “Work here first! & so on!! No kidding or exaggeration!! Btw, this also proves this restaurant boldly using the word ‘Indian’ in its name & giving such a bad rep. to genuinely good Indian restaurants, is not actually been run by an Indian or someone with genuine love for India, or even for Indian people or cuisine! We were dumbstruck! My wife was especially horrified. Needless to say, at this point, extreme concern for our physical & personal safety put it out of question that we could continue sitting in this madhouse. My wife & I literally dashed out of there without looking back while this man followed us to the entrance & continued shouting expletives down the street & we felt safe only when we were near our accommodation. We still are mind boggled at to how this place is even being allowed to continue. Had this been in the U.S, they would’ve shut down by now by the no. of formal complaints made.

Me and my daughter was walking pass this cute little restaurant. We went in had lovely starter which was indian snack called somosa chat and Jaal muri. Its delicious, tangy and spicy. We follow it with two indian taalis which had great selections of mixed veggie, meat dishes and daal.Definitely will recommend this little restaurant for dinning.

A quiet but interesting little restaurant, I thought I had made a mistake, but it was actually quite good. Food was reasonably priced and authentic. Give this restaurant your custom, help them rise to greatness.

Love this place. Quiet but brilliant - an emphasis on southern Indian food, specifically from Kerala. Can’t wait for next time.

Staying in the neighbourhood and our host recommended this cozy little spot as the local Indian restaurant. Despite them being down a front-of house person they rallied to serve us with warmth and friendliness and since we weren’t in any hurry it was no big deal.It was nice to have a slightly different menu than usual (yay! No butter chicken). The biryani was very good, with just the right spice. The Bengali chicken was very good as well. You can bring your own beer and wine to round out the meal.
