Honestly, it is what you give out you will get. I enjoyed every bit of my stay at Cheswold Park Hospital. Management was supportive and approachable. Be kind, be skilled and be a professional and you will enjoy working there.

Never wrote a review on google before but I’m disgusted by how a hospital that is supposed to support mental health speak to the employees here. My daughter applied here and was left hanging for nearly six weeks when she could have started a lot earlier. Within this time she was offered her dream job but needed to pass certain checks and as anyone knows you don’t tell an employer about a job until it’s confirmed in writing (especially a job you are yet to start). The job was confirmed in writing and she rang them to let them know she would not be attending the training the week after as she didn’t feel it was fair to waste their time. To be told that it was not fair that she was ringing on a Friday and that she should have been honest about applying for other work. As she had explained whilst you were rude and talked over her she hadn’t been looking for other work she was on a merit list since earlier this year and just so happened to be offered the job whilst you was messing about confirming a start date. I understand this is frustrating for you but you did not need to be so rude and could have just thanked her for letting you know she could have just not turned up!! She is upset to say the least as she was already worried about letting you down but as she had not already started and had given up her job over a month ago whilst you left her with no work for a month I can’t see how she has been treated like she is in the wrong. Avoid this place they do not care about their staff in the slightest!!

Worst place I’ve ever worked in, management is weak and HR is no better, if you report bullying or anything else, they do nothing, all I’ll say is closed culture, avoid this place

Kelly Hynes and Tabitha Mills are absolutely clueless both were managers at St Andrews Healthcare in Mansfield which was placed in special measures and were compeletly useless at their job didn't engage with patients and were very slow to move people on and give them more leave they were probably a deciding factor on the hospital closing

Terrible management system. To say it’s a mental health hospital, they don’t support staffs mental health issues. They will also literally employ anyone. They sack people for being late more than they sack people who continuously display behaviours that are seen as professional misconduct. Lack of respect for ward level staff (excluding ward managers), too much focus on the negative rather than the positive, and also hardly any focus on team work in some areas, in some cases, the badly run wards had no team work at all. There was favouritism and discrimination on some wards.Psychology staff, occupational therapy staff, nursing and support staff work very well. It’s a shame the management teams aren’t as good.

Worst nine years of my life! Management is beyond a joke, the food is the worst it's ever been and patients are made to feel like they are there to be punished. With the exception of a few decent staff members, Cheswold Park Hospital is an absolute disgrace. And that is an opinion shared by both staff and patients. Putting it simply, there is a reason that over 40 staff handed in there notice in ONE month. Enough said.

Having been on my first week of indunction i can honestly say what a wonderful place to work in, the training and preparation is second to none, the patients and staff are absolutely wonderful, the facilities on offer are fantastic with lifeskills in mind to bring out the very best in you for both patients and staff, i am proud to be able to uphold cph core values, i believe what cheswold hospital will go from strength to strength with the real dedication of its staff from the very top departments down on to its wards and the many wonderful people who have a real drive and a true sense of understanding of the needs of an individual and most important a development of the very worth of everybody.

So I just took my brother in law for a meeting, I'm sick since a week. If he lost his job, you should call him, not set up a meeting for a guy who lives miles away. Management is a joke there
