We were very happy with our service at vw down under from start to finish. We were complete novices with buying a campervan. Paul helped us to look for a van and did all the necessary work that needed doing. He went above and beyond to help us. We would definitely recommend them and we will be using them in the future to look after our campervan

We had Lily, our Brazilian Bay, for nearly two years and even though we loved the look of her, we were having lots of issues that made her no fun to drive. After spending time and money looking for places to have her looked at and not getting any joy, we finally booked her into VW Down Under. Paul's place was a bit of a drive for us, but we are so glad we made the effort. He knew exactly what he was talking about when it came to T2s and we immediately felt in safe hands. We were considering selling the camper before Paul worked his magic on it, now we think she will continue to provide us with years of happy memories. The work Paul did in such a short time has completely changed the camper, she was a pig to drive before and now drives just like any other modern car. A clutch judder that we were told was to be expected on the camper by the guy who sold it to us was immediately fixed by Paul with the minimum of cost and now works a treat.Thanks to Paul and his team for their passion and knowledge, we will be making the journey again for such good service.

I have been looked after by Paul, Al and team @ VW Downunder for 8 years; they have kept my previous '71 Bay (which he sold for me) & now the splittie in terrific condition. We bought our camper from Paul in 2020. As we were driving back home to Scotland she started belching smoke so we returned her to Paul who got her fixed up and shipped up to us. Since then we have enjoyed many trips away in our bus. She has most recently completed a little island hopping tour of Barra, Tiree and Skye. We feel like we got a good, solid bus for a fair price. I wanted a complete engine overhaul, new exhaust alternator, twin carbs and VW Downunder did the job for me. I ended up replacing the whole engine with one they recommended that had everything I wanted, and not only that, they cleaned up the engine bay, custom painted tins, went the extra mile to make it top spec. I couldn't be happier! Their passion for VW vans is infectious, their knowledge is unparalleled and they will steer you away from making stupid mistakes BUT without patronising you, which is perfect for an enthusiastic novice like me.
