The Hat Shop

It's an excellent shop if you like hats. It is located near M&S in York city centre.

Hat shops are all too rare in this age of the beanie and baseball cap. Fortunately, there are still exceptions, of which this is one. Very good range and reasonably priced as well. Brought three utility flat caps for everyday use. Will visit again if I am in York.

Called in today with my friend who was wanting a fascinator / hat for her nieces wedding.We started to be served by thegentleman but then he was called away to take a phone call, even though he said to the lady for them to speak to whoever was in the phone. The lady then started to serve my friend when all of a sudden she decided a customer behind us was more important than my friend..how rude as my friend did se one she liked so we left and won't be back

Loved it so much that we bought two quality hats. They have a selection to suit all tastes.The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Quality head clobber at reasonable prices. 10/10.A very popular shop close to the shambles.

Wonderful shop with very knowledgeable staff and extensive stock. Jean knew exactly how to fit the Stetson cap I bought. Staff were great fun and cheerful. Highly recommended

I always like to visit this shop when I'm here in York for the day having travelled up from Derbyshire. Its only a small place which is all on ground level and well stocked with an arrange of hats in many different styles & colours for all occasions .If you can't find what your looking for here then good luck ! The Staff on duty have always been very pleasant & helpful and on this occasion kindly checked the stock room for me regarding a size .I did make a purchase of a couple of hats during this visit .Payments are accepted by cash or card .I do recommend taking a look.

Fun shop! Winter or summer, demure or flashy. You can find a hat that fits you. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable. They had everything from warm fuzzy hats to airy fascinators. We bought 2 hats and were so pleased with our selections
