The Black Star
Chance visit a week last Friday lunchtime, great ales very friendly and efficient staff. Went back at night to see the band, brilliant, loved it, food looked delicious and good value, as reported by the diners at night. Great pub, wish we lived near it.Thanks all.

Great live music venue, enjoyed Melvin Hancock Band, good service even though very busy. The atmosphere was electric, people all very friendly. Shame the drummer has changed for the band, not so good now.

Lovely canal side location. Excellent choice of ales and friendly knowledgeable staff. Food basic but reasonably priced and tasty. Only criticisms would be that the tables were sticky and also too high up (or seats too low) for comfortable dining. But well worth a visit.

WOW!!! Homemade Lasagne was delicious. Hubby had the ribs, he said they were very good! Good size portions and very cheap!! Lovely friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this place.

Update: My favourite pub in Stourport!Nice pub to stop off and have some food and drinks. Good selection of ales and ciders. Good cobs, sausage rolls and pork pies if you want a quick snack. Lovely welcoming staff also

4th September 2021:What a fantastic pub restaurant just above the canal immediately after Lower Mitton Bridge No.5" upon leaving Stourport on Severn basin onto the Staffs and Worcester canal.Popped over here with a boater friend from Diglis Basin in Worcester as I had seen this pub whilst walking along the canal towpath on one of my photographic exploratory walks.Lovely outdoors seating area with big tables and umbrellas and overlooking the canal below.The chips we ordered were so delicious and chunky and the real cask ales were superb with my Butty Bach on tap as it turned out...perfect. The house Chardonnay was exceptional too.A fantastic selection of proper pub snacks

Just stumbled across this little gem of a pub. Strolling along the canal fancied a light bite so we shared the baguette, chips and salad meal. It was plentiful, great quality and delicious. Lovely position ext to canal and staff really friendly to ... 10/10 .Will definitely return.
