No table service. You need to order at a counter. It is the same counter at which the coffee is made. Making coffee takes time and so everyone; whether they are having coffee or not, wait in line. This is gormless. I had picked up sausage rolls and canned drinks. I could have paid and got out of the way for other customers. However, I had to wait in line until the coffee customers had watched the slow coffee making ritual before I could pay and leave. Ground are losing customers with this nonsense. Like others I observed I'll be going elsewhere in future.

A nice place to grab a coffee and sausage roll, which was delicious! Thoroughly recommend the chilli sausage roll. The outside seating is fab in the sun too!

Lovely coffee shop just off High Street. Large number of outside tables away from the hustle and bustle. Perfect to stop and have a coffee and sausage roll and watch the world go by.The owner and staff very friendly and welcoming. Good quality coffee and a nice variety of soft drinks with more unusual flavours.The sausage roll was delicious and definitely more sausage than roll! The cakes looked lovely too although we didn’t have any today.Enjoyed it so much we came back twice in one day!

Came across GROUND whilst exploring, dainty shop but perfect in every way. Not too much on menu but what is there is superb so stops those undecisive customers taking too much time. Thought sausage rolls were small, at first, but my do they pull a mighty flavour punch. Can recommend the pork & cheddar as well as the sweet potato & kale. Both full flavoured, tasty and the right proportion. Coffee great, good soft drink choices and has some seating inside and lots outside. Lovely location, could not recommend enough.

Great cafe to stop off and enjoy the back street life of Wells. Cakes were delicious. Next door is a fine selection of house plants and clothes shop.

Lovely strong flat white expertly made.And oh my sausage rolls. I can see why they are so highly rated. A must try!Good selection of cakes as well but didn't try on this occasion.

Bought a couple of sausage rolls based in the ‘best in the world’ sign…reminded me of the scene in Elf with the sign about the best cup of coffee in the world…my review is purely based on the fact that the pastry was undercooked and the filling was essentially tasteless. Need better meat suppliers my friend, another style over substance sausage roll unfortunately.

Only found this on the off chance whilst stopping of in Wells next to sea. But it was such a nice place the coffee and cakes are very good . Great place to grab a coffee and cake if you are in the area during the summer
