I have a caffeine sensitivity so ordered decaf. I politely checked if my coffee was decaf when it arrived and the server responded in a pass-agg way. I know decaf has a bit of caffeine in - which I can tolerate - but what I was served was normal coffee and I felt the effects really really badly afterwards. I also ordered a soup, advertised as coming with a quarter of a baguette, and instead it came with a meh-looking bap. This branch felt a bit like an overpriced Prêt, with the food all basically pre-packaged, including soup. The interior was a bit dingy and the atmosphere felt faintly depressing too. I am also disappointed that the whole chain appears to have stopped serving vegan croissants.

Oh dear. Yet another business to add to tbe boycott list who refuse to accept cash thus turning away a lot of people who prefer using cash to card, phone or watch. I shall take my cash and use it in a small, independant family run business who gladly accept cash instead.

This Paul has an annoying habit of false advertising. The board outside advertises various specials which perk my interest, but the sales staff usually have a dozen reasons why the special is not applicable when it’s time to pay.

This Paul branch is quite clean and the seating is not closely put together so there is enough space for you to eat and not bother the people beside you. The staff seemed a bit hostile, and the prices are quite highThe sandwich was great and the bread is good, the Poppyseeds are also nice. However there is not enough ham and olive paste, so it is slightly dryThe Fraiser cake is something i buy if i want to have cake. The matcha layer is thick and flavourful and i enjoy the contrast between that and the strawberry

Baguette and macaroons were tasteless. I was surprised at this, at first, but then the group of people serving were completely uninterested in us. No plates. Tepid coffee. Regular, loud notification noises from somebody's phone behind the counter. Several people walked in and out again, ignored.

Delighted at the idea of a pastry and coffee, and as a first-timer with a touristy-eye on Paul’s, I popped in. The promise didn’t quite deliver but pastries and coffee were good enough. The service was friendly but not welcoming; perhaps a later afternoon after thought. Nothing so off-putting I wouldn’t pop in again and give another try.

Conveniently located in the centre of Putney, this small café is good for a light lunch. Sandwiches are fresh and tasty, service is quick and friendly. There are just a handful of tables, so in order to eat in you need to block one before ordering.

I love PAUL BAKERY, all their items are very tasty. Flat white coffee is absolutely perfect, cakes are definitely delicious especially the pistachio one. A new dark seeded bread is extremely perfect.
