Weston Coyney Village Hall
Not a bad venue but I have to say that various places have an odd smell, especially back of the stage. It really needs an overhaul. Parking is good and good sized kitchen area. Hot water ran out quickly. We had a good night overall but wish the charity had some money available to put into the place so it can live up to its potential.

Been here now for a few parties, parking to the side is great, the hall size is perfect for children's parties.

Big Hall, nice enough for a birthday party/meeting with friends and family. Good parking services for your visitors. Recommended

Visited for our weekly covid test. Plenty of parking, everyone was friendly and efficient. We were the only ones there apart from the testers, so we were out numbered, but felt safe. I could see that there was a good safe distance between all the work stations, so feel sure it will be just as safe with more people visiting

Poor attitude from staff especially the caretaker - on every accasion we have hired the hall. The owners of the hall seem to want to hire the hall and take your money, and the hall not actually to be used....A few examples:- Their bin were almost full when we arrived on the most recent occasion. After our event, the bin was full, plus bagged rubbish around the waste area. The village hall have charged us for this.- after cleaning up their filthy dirty kitchen before my guests started to arrive to my music event, including old mouldy food left in the old oven that made the whole kitchen smell, the village hall have also charged me for alcohol spillage on the dance floor and a few of the tables what guests used to rest their drinks on.- Some guests of my event were smokers. Smoking outside at the main entrance leaving a few scattered cigarette ends. the village hall have also charged me for this. This is just a small hand full of excuses the village hall team have used to deny me my refundable £250 deposite. (plus room hire fee taken on top). The caretaker who opens up and comes back to close at the end has an extremely poor attitude. This has caused issues every single time we have used the hall. This has lead to people boycotting my gigs, thinking he is in some way a part of the organisation of my events. One example from the top of my head is asking one of my guests who were just leaving to Get a brush and clean the mess up, immediately... As the ACTUAL organisers, including myself, were already working on it.It seems like a massive inconvenience for the caretaker to come to open, and lock up at the end of the evening.... Which turns his already shocking attitude even worse when coming at night. The hall need a new person, who is more understanding and experienced, to do this job.The hall took over a week to contact me regarding the deposit refund. With the poorest of excuses and poor attitude, the hall declined my deposit and offered to send photo evidence. Once I asked for the photo evidence they declined and have started to turn my emails around to say they are 'Threatening' after I asked to come up to see them at the hall, regarding this issue and to see the photo evidence. This is just a few small examples of my poor experience. The hall itself is good and could have great potential. But the attitude of the village hall team and the hygiene of the place is thoroughly letting it down.Beware of these issues. If this has happened to anyone else too (which I can see more bad reviews too on Google) then don't let it drop. It's the most common option to save any hassle and I think this team of people know that and are taking advantage. They've told me I'm no longer welcome at the hall, but I'd already told them I'd no longer use it and wouldn't not recomend anyone else to either..... Which is why, I think, they've taken over a week to reply and finally decided not to refund me (with no evidence why).An extremely UN-profesional and rude team of people.

Booked for my daughters party. Emailed to change the time as needed longer to set up. The party was booked 2 until 5pm originally but with the extra half an hour was from 1:30. The care taker turned up at 4pm asking why we weren't ready to leave yet. Discussed the time with him but he was quite insistent i was wrong. Even when i clarified by email confirmation and the price i had paid. We cleared away and left feeling very rushed and awkward. I have emailed to question this but have heard nothingAlso it states kitchen is avaliable but its basically a room with a sink. It says basically stocked but there isn't even a t spoon and the oven was covered in tape as its obviously been condemned. Did have a microwave. Also couldn't play music in the hall as apparently we needed some kind of adaptor. Luckily the bouncy castle we hired had blue tooth speakers.Shame because its a nice little venue for the price .

Hired for a birthday party. Found the level of hygiene disturbing. Venue was extremely dirty. Had to completely clean the kitchen and table tops. Toilets were unusable.Staff were rude and very unhelpful. Not at all what we expected. From a practical point of view there was very little time to dress and undress the venue. Party start time was 7pm. Couldn't get access until 4pm and had to clean and clear by 12.30. We also weren't told that we were required to take rubbish with us.Also please be aware the deposit required is promised to be returned at the end of the night. Not the case!Nightmare! Much better, cleaner venues locally that would welcome your custom more.Edit: The venue was hired 2nd March. I helped with the set up but it was a friends party. The is review is an honest one and was what we found. I do have some photos of the condition of the hall. I'm happy to forward these to you. With regards to your staff i'm referring to the caretaker who unlocked the hall at the start of the evening and also the gentleman who locked up. He said he was a volunteer and was treasurer and chairman of the board.I can assure you we were told by the chairman that we had to remove our rubbish. You can confirm this with the lady who booked the venue.
