Simon designed and created the most amazing hidden bookcase door that will forever be a feature and talking point in our home. The workmanship is exceptional and Simon and his team were an absolute pleasure to have in the house. I'll add a photo as soon as we have finished decorating around it, but we couldn't be more delighted with the finished result.

We.commissioned Simon to make two pieces of furniture for us. One is a unit to hold AV equipment and accessories and designed to fit around a wall breast. The other is a free standing cabinet. Each piece is superb and of extremely high quality. For both jobs we were impressed by Simon's friendly but professional approach. We had a reasonable idea of what we wanted, but needed Simon's eye for design to turn them into pieces that are good looking and functional. After an initial site visit, developing the designs involved several exchanges by email and we felt he fully understood where we were coming from. With the AV unit we weren't sure of the best way to route cables until installation and Simon's solution works really well.

Simon has designed the most wonderful piece of furniture for our TV room. He has encapsulated my vision and completed the work to the highest standard. His love of his craft is admirable and his professionalism is to be admired. It was all built in his own studio so was fitted in the quickest possible time. We are so pleased we have asked him to design another piece for another room. We couldn't recommend him more highly. Thank you Simon.

We are delighted with our furniture made by Simon Nicholl. It was a pleasure working with Simon to design the furniture to our requirements. He had lots of very professional suggestions, visiting our home and welcoming us to his workshop. The execution of the design was to a very high standard and Simon and his team worked very hard, fitting the furniture with minimum disruption and maximum tidiness! Simon always responded constructively and speedily when we contacted him and he kept exactly to the timetable that he outlined at the onset.A big thanks to Simon and the team.

We commissioned Simon to build fitted cupboards and shelving for four alcoves in our Grade 2 listed home and we are thrilled with the results. He worked with us closely throughout the process and understood the additional requirements we had to meet because of its listed status.The workmanship is excellent and the cupboards have transformed our room. Simon’s enthusiasm and professionalism made him a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend him and will definitely be in contact again should we require some more bespoke furniture.

Simon is an absolutely amazing true professional master craftsman in wood. He worked with us with great understanding and skill at the design stage to turn our dreams into a superb solution and a unique finished product.He replaced tired double doors with a secret bookcase pair of doors that go between our conservatory and sitting room.The bookcase has a lovely finish in solid wood and opens all the way round to form a pair of display shelves framing the opening when required.It was a real pleasure to have him working on this for us and we are so pleased with every aspect. Now we just need to finish decorating the conservatory!

We have used Simon and his team for all of the professional joinery in our new home. He made our custom kitchen, front door, internal doors, cloakroom and shelves. Simon’s attention to detail and quality workmanship means that the joinery has been integral and complimentary to the architecture of the house. Simon is lovely to work with, understands the brief and makes beautiful pieces that we will treasure. If things need adjustment or refining Simon is responsive and accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and his work.

Simon has built a kitchen dresser, and a desk for my study, and I am thrilled with both pieces. They have exceeded my expectations. Working on the designs with Simon was a great process because he is very sensitive to the kind of person you are and what your tastes are, and I felt he had an extremely good understanding of what I wanted. He is patient and helpful, and really makes sure he has everything right. The pieces were installed yesterday, and I really could not believe how beautiful they are. The quality of workmanship is superb, and the designs are exactly what I was hoping for. I have to keep going to look at them they are so beautiful! These really are lifetime pieces - a great investment that I know I am going to enjoy forever. I can’t recommend Simon and his team highly enough.

Simon is a highly skilled, imaginative craftsman.He helped us to design fitted cupboards and shelving with display lighting for our sitting room.We thank him for his unending patience in getting the design right to fit the space perfectly.We are just so impressed and delighted with his transformation of our sitting room. We last year were renovating a large house in Letchworth. Unfortunately, we were let down by a local cabinet maker and then luckily we found Simon on line! He was a ‘lifesaver’ without a doubt. Simon just saved the day! He built a large walkin wardrobe, other built in wardrobes, a huge bookcase, built in shelving and cabinet for a bedroom. They also provided beautiful shelving, transformed an old dresser into a beautiful side board. We had problems with an original 1920’s staircase needing renovating with spindles and a new banister. The Builder had got other trades people involved but they were not by miles in the same league as Simon and his team. So, Simon came up with lots of ideas and got the job completed.Simon’s wide ranging skills and knowledge helped us achieve for the overall project exceptional results and the project completed . Our wooden painted kitchen was already on order when we met Simon, on reflection I think his work would have been superior.Simon and his team are exceptional. We had John Lewis’s interior design team working on the refurbishment and they were extremely impressed with the work Simon and team had carried out. They, of course had seen the house at its worse and had seen us finding it hard to get good reliable skilled trades people. John Lewis cannot recommend directly companies but they did take details and photograph his work.So, if you are considering using Simon and the team we would say that we cannot recommend them more highly.
