Beautiful theme gardens. Start with Roman style garden and ends with Japanese garden. 1-2h needed to see it. There is also a little garden centre and very big gift shop and very popular restaurant.

What an incredible place! I thought Compton gardens would just be a Japanese garden but there was so much more to it. So many wonderful themed areas. I recommend at least 2 hours here!

Stunning gardens. A real gem of a find. The Japanese garden was my favourite. Lovely gift shops. Cafe was buzzing. Watch the parking. This place gets busy. Food was quite expensive in the cafe for what it was.

Compton Acres is a wonderful place to visit. Lovely gardens to wander around at your own pace.Italian, woodland, rockery and Japanese are all beautiful. The Cafe/restaurant is lovely to have lunch, I had a very tasty chicken Waldorf salad. There is also a garden centre and 2 x well stocked gift shops. It has been around 40 years since my last visit, it went be as long next time.

One of the most beautiful Japanese gardens I've seen and so beautifully kept. Highly recommend all to visit if in the area and visiting as the gardens are simply beautiful and easy to spend time marvelling at the beauty of them. Lots of koi fish to see which follow you as you walk along the stepping stones which was nice and plenty of benches to sit and rest at as well or the alternative to climb up the stairs to the pagoda. Simply incredible and very glad I visited.

Beautiful gardens, not busy on the Sunday we went at 2:30/3pm. Closing time is 5pm but they stop serving at the cafe at 4pm though so be aware of that.

Gorgeous place and wonderful walks and café, the Japanese garden is beautiful and so peaceful, cute little shop in the ticket office and lovely shop in the main building and outside, definitely, a lovely place to visit with others, alone or with family

I love the Japanese garden, although, the shop and restaurant are extremely stuck up and only retired wealthy stuck up white people (English and European) are suited to such places and don't go f you are poor as they will stare (or even if you look poor and aren't) they will kind of look at you or if you are a different race etc I'm sure they do the same because the Sikh couple in front of me didn't look comfortable either and soon left

Lovely cool place to visit. Wheel chair access to most areas. Tea shop shuts promptly at 16.30.
