Rodney House

This place is absolutely a disgrace, most of the residence have constantly got hygiene problems, like they are not being cared for probley, I have had to contact the office quite a few times, an have never been able to speak to the manager, personally I don't think a manager is there, so the staff I have spoken to regarding residents, don't seem to care and don't speak in a professional manner, why somebody with mental health problems and drug abuse is allowed to buy alcohol, which then put a them in a very dangerous situation is beyond me.

Excellent care from the staff.

Staff are absolutely lovely in this residential home, they really go above and beyond and it has a lovely vibe when you walk in. Can't fault them, they really care . Whenever I call up they are always really helpful and caring

It’s really sad how mental health can ruin someone’s life. This place is amazing for the work they do. My friend resides at Rodney House and although I don’t see him much anymore since I moved out of the area, he’s at home there, it can be very lively when I’ve visited but this suits him. The staff don’t give up and have been so supportive.

I have to be honest, all the good managers left last year. Then the place fell into disrepair. I have a family member in there who used to be happy with all the activities and specialist staff. They left and so did all the good and caring staff.

I am an officer in the Liverpool area. Whilst on duty I have come across residents from Rodney House. One resident in particular, this resident has come to my attention not because of being a criminal but because of his own safety and well-being. We have managed to identify the male due to identification badge provided for him by the senior staff, the resident wears this around his neck. This identification badge allows emergency services to contact Rodney House and explain to the staff what has happened and how they have managed to come into contact with us. When I contact Rodney House we come up with a joint plan to decide on the best actions for the resident so they do not cause any harm to themselves or others.The senior management at Rodney House are very welcoming and accommodating. Once they are aware the resident is safe with us they arrive and take the resident back to Rodney House with no issues, and the resident is always pleased to see them.Working alongside the staff at Rodney house has worked wonders for the emergency services, due to not waiting hours for an ambulance or not knowing if the residents have any behaviours or medical conditions, we aren’t aware off. Working together helps the resident by building trust with the police because a lot of people associate the police with trouble however, this time it’s positive and helps build trust with Rodney house staff and the residents from there.Finally, working alongside the staff also helps us to not waste time in helping the residents, and keeping them safe. If a resident does require assistance, we can act quickly, work with the resident and ensure they are safe and well.I have never had any issues with the staff at Rodney house, it appears to be a care home which genuinely cares and understands every single one of the residents.
