Solihull Style - Personal Stylist/Personal Shopper

I am so glad to have found Valerie. She came to our home and did a fantastic job of helping my daughter ( a trans woman, towards the beginning of her transition journey) to begin identifying her style. We had a lot of clothes ready to try & Valerie helped identify those which looked good ( & importantly, why!) and those that did not ( this had its amusing moments ). She was truthful, helpful, positive and empathetic throughout, and by the end of the day we had quite a number of outfits for both work and leisure that looked fabulous, felt good and gave my daughter a real confidence in her appearance. Valerie knew her stuff - she can suggest seemingly small adjustments in how to wear something that make a huge difference in how it looks. I would not hesitate to recommend Valerie and am very sure we shall be working with her again in the future - me, my daughter or both of us !

My Mum had organised a styling appointment with Valerie to help me better understand and develop my wardrobe as a trans woman.Whilst Valerie had never done this before, she very kindly agreed to help out and we spent a lovely 5 hours at home going through clothes we had bought to sort out a capsule wardrobe. I was massively nervous beforehand, and believe Valerie probably was as well. But, she made me feel so comfortable and at ease - as well as helped so much with understanding a new style of fashion. I couldn't have been happier with how the day went!I definitely advise seeing her, and hope one day to see her again for a wardrobe edit and update!

I had got to the point where I felt I never looked good in anything, and had no enthusiasm at all for shopping, not knowing what to look for. So I found Valerie on Google, read the reviews and decided to book a day's shopping in Solihull with her. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made ! Valerie is a lovely warm person, who knows so much about clothes, shoes, accessories etc, and knows many of the staff in the Solihull stores. She told me the things to look for in clothes, selecting items which I wouldn't previously have looked at. One of the main items I was looking for was a dress for my daughter's graduation. The dress I bought, together with accessories, made me feel good about myself, for the first time in ages and ages! It was a fantastic feeling, which continued with other purchases I made. The time flew by, and though I was shattered at the end, I had a great time and so enjoyed my day with Valerie. I would definitely recommend Valerie, and in fact plan to book another day later in the year, for change of season clothes.Huge thank you to Valerie for making me feel so good, and I'm looking forward to wearing my new outfit at my daughter's graduation in a couple of weeks' time.

Valerie was so helpful and patient. I had a wardrobe full of clothes, many of which I hardly wore. She helped me to sift through them and pull together some fabulous outfits!

I’ve just spent a wonderful few hours with Valerie in the comfort of my own home going through my wardrobe ahead of a big career change with a new post baby body. I was stuck in a rut and the corporate world is so different post-covid. Valerie expertly listened to everything I said over the day, and rather painlessly I have ended up with a lovely capsule wardrobe with gaps to add to. She gave pointers on what to buy and where from and I know it’s absolutely saved me a fortune on the misguided shopping I’d have done alone! I feel empowered, looking forward to dressing for all occasions and couldn’t recommend Valerie and her services more highly.

I decided to book a wardrobe weeding session with Valerie, a friend had told me all about Valerie’s work , I felt it was exactly what I needed. Because I was buying the same stuff all the time and living in leggings. I was quite nervous the day Valerie arrived, I thought she would think my wardrobe was boring and wouldn’t be able to do anything with me. I was so wrong she put me at ease straight away, by the end of the session she had put 23 outfits together for me. All with my very own clothes and accessories. I am now really looking forward to going shopping with Valerie.

I'd highly recommend Valerie to anybody. Valerie came to my home to complete my wardrobe weed. Valerie was understanding and gave me lots of tips of what's clothes work for me and how to make clothes work for my shape. Valerie then made me a list of items missing/needed for my wardrobe and armed with this I hit the high street shops. Valerie had given me examples of items and they were perfect and affordable for me. Valerie even identified the exact style of jean for me and they are the best ever.I feel happier with my wardrobe now but more importantly I feel more confident in my clothes.I truly believe this is money saved as I will not be buying clothes that then sit in my wardrobe for years with the labels still on not knowing how to wear them or what they go with.I've already recommended Valerie to all my friends :)

Update following my shopping experience with Valerie. What an amazing experience!!!!! I had no idea how easy it would be to find so many beautiful clothes and to feel so much more confident in myself. For the first time ever I thoroughly enjoyed trying clothes on. Valerie really does know what she is doing and her advice and guidance will stay with me for every season. It was so lovely to be able to have a laugh and not to feel judged in any way.Valerie is incredible! She spent 5hrs with me today going through my wardrobe. She made me feel so relaxed (having started out nervous) and I had fun! I had no idea how to pair the clothes I have but by the end of our session I had a fabulous clothes rail to choose from. I really enjoyed myself and delighted I got out of my own way. Thanks Valerie!!

I had so much fun shopping with Valerie. I couldn't wait to get home and start wearing the items I bought!After only a short time together I really felt that she got my personality and style.I've never been a stylish person but I feel so confident now that I understand what suits my body shape.I definitely feel that I got a personal service with Valerie. I would highly recommend her.
