In my view the only place to go if you're in a fix. The staff are so help full, when ever I go in to the shop and discuss my need they are right on point with clear advise on how best to approach the problem.Shopping local means so much nowadays when the internet is taking hold on how we buy products, there is no substitute for a well stocked DIY store on your door step.

We've bought quite a lot from Handy Cabin recently, like paint, screws, door handles, wood stain, grass seed etc.Each time the service has been excellent, they're very happy to give advice, they're well stocked and the prices are competitive. Definitely recommended.

Asked for cupboard paint to paint MDF. Was told in the shop garden paint would work, Went back explained it wiped off. Was then told I need to buy something else to put on first. 4 coats later it still wipes off. Went to B & Q who were confused and said I just need cupboard paint. Which is what I did ask for at handy cabin before being talked into buying garden paint. Cupboard paint has worked fine. Will stick to B & Q

What a brilliant place this is. Been a couple of times since moving back to the area, really helpful team, give great advice, great prices and so far have everything I've needed, unlike some of the big DIY chains! Will be using them again and cannot recommend this shop enough

An absolutely fantastic service is provided to customers from the moment they walk in. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and very helpful from start to finish. A great little store with a huge positive community spirit.

In fairness the staff are super super helpful and really nice.Was an issue with pricing but spoke to the owner and he explained.Always worth giving them a call if you think something is cheaper elsewhere and I’m sure they will do their best.

An excellent shop. Both the lads are extremely helpful and not in the slightest bit patronising when I’ve made a botch job of something simple and need them to advise me out of it! Very competitively priced and I’m amazed how a small local business always seems to have everything I need. I’ll definitely keep returning, although that’s more to do with my DIY skills more than anything!
