Co-op Food - Southampton - Bassett Green Road

This shop have co op cards for deals, all the assistants should be reminding there customers like other shops do you have a co op card !!! They never remind you

Probably a fine shop but DONT order from them from Uber Eats. They sealed the bag in a way that it could not be stolen from but charged me for items that they did not include. If they are out of stock then it's fine but they are supposed to not charge you for items not included. Not these guys, they'll steal your money.

Claims to offer DPD pickup service, yet turns away parcels they feel are a little too big (even though DPD have already taken the money for a parcel this size and directed customers here). They claim it's a trip hazard - in which case, they are not equipped to offer the DPD pickup service and should stop immediately to prevent more wasted journeys. Staff are generally miserable and abrasive too.

Claim to offer DPD parcel service but will not accept heavier parcels. Sorry but you're either doing the service or you are not. This is completely unacceptable - people go out of their way and you decline to accept a parcel? And with multiple staff on site it would be easy for two of them to carry a heavier parcel. Please stop offering the service if you can't do it. No reflection on your staff who are simply carrying out their instructions.

Many times the vegetable and fruit section is half full, bread barely with 4-5 days expiry date, or very small choice of breads, staff a bit grumpy.

I’ve ordered twice on Uber eats and any fruit and veg I order turns up quite literally rotting, I’ve had fuzzy, mouldy brown bananas, a slushy brown lettuce, sludgey out of date strawberries leaking everywhere and overripe squidgy potatoes covered in well developed spuds turn up in to large and very expensive orders. I have had items missing, wrong items and some things swapped for things completely different and significantly cheaper than what I actually ordered with no refunds given and no notice that anything was going to be replaced as Uber says they should. I don’t have a lot of money I very carefully budget my food shopping and meal plan so I’m very disappointed. Definitely don’t order produce from this store, they were contacted and I was told to consult Uber eats, although the store was at fault so Uber didn’t offer help for my issue.

Good range of products but unfriendly, miserable staff. They'll ignore you to continue their conversations while you wait in line. Barely speak to you at the counter . I get the impression that many of them would rather be anywhere else.

They can't be bothered to use the DPD printer even though DPD has them listed as having one. When I make a suggestion to maybe tell DPD this so customers don't waste time going there to queue and be turned away. I just got shouted at by a very rude clearly miserable lady saying its not their problem. Why these people go into customer facing roles is beyond me, there was no need for the rudeness.
