Muffin Break
Had a great Americano in this newly opened coffee & bake house!Also their cappuccino is wonderful & cookies we tried was nice!They have bagel & a variety of other sandwiches too, so even for lunch is excellent choice.Place is spacious & fit for families. The service was speedy & latte artist did very impressive work. Try it & you will enjoy your cup of coffee. ☕️☕️☕️

A great place to eat right off Broad Street in Reading.Broad street is a large street in the heart of Reading, UK. It is wide, covered in cobblestones with stores lining both sides and lots of options for visitors to shop or eat. Just west of the walking part on the south side of the road there is a small shop called Muffin Break. It is one of two stores (the other being Taco Bell) lining the entrance to the, appropriately named, Broad Street Mall. I found this eatery purely by chance but am glad that I did. It has a corner spot with a large area in the front with tables and chairs to eat while people-watching the Broad street crowd. They offer food and drink in the form of various coffee’s, teas and drinks and a broad variety of sandwiches. The store was clean and light with oak wood floors/tables, muted grey tones for the wall and a clean counter. The staff was friendly and attentive. You order, pay and pickup at the counter. I ordered a sandwich on a croissant. It came out quickly and was served, heated, on a plate with a iced coffee. It was delicious. The price was reasonable for the date, time and economy. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend this as a good place to eat if you are in the area. Enjoy!

First time visiting. What a great place. The staff absolutely amazing. Super friendly and always cleaning. As someone who worked in a restaurant before, seeing all the young staff cleaning when not serving customers was amazing. The barista with long hair also done an amazing coffee :)

Muffin Break
New coffee shop to Reading located at entrance to Broad Street Mall on Broad Street. Says its family owned so more an independent than a chain. Decor is functional with plenty of seating. When we visited on a cold wet December heating was on full blast so it was toasty! Standard selection of drinks as well as hot and cold food. I had a Bagel which was warmed through melting the cheese!

Great coffee shop in the middle of Reading town centre. The food is excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive and if you get a window seat, you get to watch the world go by over a latte and a very tasty, generous slice of cake. Perfect.

Muffin Break
The mocha was nice and sweet, until I finished half of it and saw a bug at the bottom. Absolutely unacceptable. I took the cup to the counter and the response I got was it's probably from outside". Not even an apology. I was asked if I want them to take away the cup. How could I possibly finish the rest? I just asked for a glass of water after that. Customer service is a problem

Nice place to try for a change, been in a few times. What I have observed during my visits, is that the takeaway collections get priority over real people visiting, that's the impression I get. Also, when the boss is there, the staff up their game a little. Nice hot chocolate, seems that you only get the dusting of chocolate on the top when the boss is there and tells them to do it !!

Very nice place, polite staff and relatively inexpensive, the atmosphere is very nice but can be overwhelming after some cooking since the kitchen is not properly ventilated.

Muffin Break
The muffin is that weird local coffee shop that is neither too good nor too bad, but it sits in the perfect place in the centre of reading, has enough space to sit yourself and your whole family, and has enough choice in both salty and sweet dishes. Plus everything looks and tastes homemade. So far tried red velvet, muffin, vanila milkshake and tart. Not bad.
