Foxdenton Park
Small park, with a play area for the little ones to enjoy. There's a duck/geese pond, again it's only small, but we'll fenced. There is a tea room, with toilets (so I'm told), but this was closed due to the Bank Holiday. Found a couple of pathways to nosy on, which was lovely, at the bottom we found a turnstile and played football with the kids for a while!! There seems to be a farm down the bottom as we were able to see a number of beautiful horses. Nice day out, to somewhere new, and the kids loved it, which is all that matters x

This has improved immensely since I was here a good number of years ago, everywhere has been improved, the playground for the kiddies, is now an open area with modern climbing frame, good strong swings and a not too high slide, there is also a little cafe that serves ice cream, sandwiches, and drinks, it's not open every day, Wednesday to Sunday I think. The duck pond has been fitted with new fountain that works a treat, nice to have a walk around, lots of seating for rests

Foxdenton Park
This is a relatively small park but worth visiting particularly with children. Lots of seating areas and a decent sized pond to feed the ducks and swans. The reason for only 4 stars is that the play area looks as though it has been neglected. Missing swing, more benches than items to play on. It wouldn’t be able to cope with more than a few children at a time and is in need of some investment. There has clearly been significant money found to renovate the bowls green and pavilion. It would be nice if some funding could be provided to maintain equipment for young children to use and buy a couple more items to make it a bit more child friendly.

Foxdenton Park is truly a beautiful utopia nestled within the bustling city. From the moment you enter the park, you are enveloped by lush greenery and the sounds of nature. The paths wind through the park, taking you on a journey through fields of wildflowers, around tranquil ponds, and beneath the shade of towering trees. The park boasts a variety of activities, from tennis and basketball courts to a playground for children. Whether you're looking to relax and soak up the serenity or get active and enjoy some exercise, there's something for everyone at Foxdenton Park. One of the highlights of the park is the stunning walled garden. It's a true oasis, filled with blooming flowers, fountains, and benches where you can sit and take it all in. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and find a moment of peace.Overall, Foxdenton Park is a gem of a park and a must-visit for anyone looking for a little slice of utopia in the city.

Nice and pleasant little park. Shame the fountain near the pagodas never turned on or maybe its broken. Nice duck pond, always plenty of ducks to feed. Keeps the kids engaged and active running around. The hall itself has been rebuilt twice since the original building in the early 1400’s and it was eventually taken over by local authority in the mid 20th century and the grounds turned into a public park. There are 5.2 hectares of land, including a play area for the kids, bowling green, picnic areas and the lake. Well worth a visit with the family. Perfect bank holiday day out :)

Amazing park why haven't I been before was my first thought. Clean and well presented with a duck pond, water feature and now a little cafe (it closes at 3 in winter I believe) but the coffee was really nice!!
