Shambolic. No interest in a stove that was weeks out of its warranty and an engineer says it's a design fault so I will just keep burning logs at an incredible rate or buy ANOTHER log burner. Seriously unimpressed.

We recently ordered and paid for 2 Harlequin tiled hearths via our contractor who was fitting our wood burning stove. We paid just over £850 for both. The main hearth looked amazing when it was first dropped off before fitting but we quickly realised that we had to finish the back edge off ourselves and fill. The smaller hearth had to be taken back to the shop as it wasnt finished off. I should point out that our order was for 2 separate hearths as per the hearths in the booklet. We went ahead and had the larger one fitted. We ended up accepting another smaller one with the pattern just on the front. We did agree to the pattern not being on the side, but the edgings still were not finished off correctly and we ended up doing something ourselves. It would have been nice to be offered some sort of discount because we paid a lot of money and the products were not entirely correct as per our original order.

Have an very old Firemaster Superdraught De-Luxe fireplace with underfloor air supply. Darren from their technical team was able to source me documents that I had no chance of finding. With a bit of back and forth the problem was discovered (along with the illusive valve shaft hole which had been crusted over). He did this under no pretext to sell me anything and with genuine interest to find the issue unlike some companies I came across.Thank you.

I have a Firefox stove which is about three years old - Percy Doughty being the supplier / manufacturer. The blanking plate at the rear of the stove recently fell off, the two lugs" which are on the stove and to which it bolts on had sheared for some unknown reason. Contacted PD who said they have a clamp as a solution to the problem ( from which you have to assume it is a defect that is common if they have had to produce a solution).Cost of clamp £7.75 plus VAT - well I needed it and could only get it from them. Cost of carriage £18 plus VAT - total carriage £21.60.The weight of the package was 165 gms - a large letter with Royal Mail which would have been £2.50 First Class signed for with £50 compensation.I live in Aberdeen ( UK) not Australia - in fact I often send 2kg parcels to Australia for less than £20.81 !Known defect on stove and rip off carriage costs. I didn't even get the bolts for the clamp which I am trying to source locally as they had seized up - I wont be asking PD as I cant afford the carriage !Scored them 1 as the lady I spoke to was pleasant enough."

Purchased their PD2 electric fuel effect heater. It fits in the grate of a fireplace.I just unboxed and fitted in my fireplace. It comes as two pieces:1. A base piece with the convector heater and lighting unit2. A separate coal-effect piece that fits on top, that should click on to place to secure the pieces together. The base unit quality seems good, the coal-effect top however is pretty shoddy quality. The two should click together via four connectors - it doesn't. The light/flame effect is not as good as it should be be because of the poor connection. The unit costs over £200 so the don't worry about it" response back from the PD team is pretty disappointing. Clearly no quality control or concern about the customer experience.I would expect a replacement unit
