Amazing spot right on pretty high cliffs!You can watch Puffins and other beautiful birds. We walked a little further west and even saw seals on the rocks.On a clear day you have a good view of the surrounding islands.Good parking nearby.

Northernmost Point of Mainland Great Britain
The lighthouse is 105 meters up at the edge of the tall cliffs of Dunnet head. The vegetation is grass and Heather. The location is at 58.40 degrees north. Dunnet head has great views of the northern Scottish coast as well as the Orkney Islands which are less than 7 miles away at the nearest point. There is a viewing area but beware can be extremely windy sometimes.

Min £1 to park. Private ground stops going to most northern point on mainland Britain. Single track road with passing places. Car park fills up very quickly. No facilities. View fantastic.

Beautiful! The cliff side nesting birds were amazing to see. A puffin sat about 30 feet from us with three fish in its mouth just watching us. A memory for a lifetime!

Superb views up and down the coast and across to Orkney from the most northerly mainland point of the UK . Large car park and a few panels detailing all the birdlife seen on the cliffs , there are no toilets and its 5 miles from Dunnet village so something to consider before making the trip.
