100% avoid Benten!Booked it for a last minute service & MOT, I booked for a Friday afternoon, they then called to ask me to rearrange for the Friday morning.Dropped it off as planned and received a call at 10.30am to say service complete but MOT failed. They were trying to overcharge me for the fix and then said I’d also have to pay for a re-test and that this wouldn’t be done until the following Tuesday. I declined and called another garage and they said they could do the work for more than half the price of Benten!I went to pick up my car at 1pm and was told it was not ready (even though they’d called 2.5 hours ago telling me it was). I had to wait for 50 minutes for them to do ‘checks’ - I’ve no idea what these checks were and I was very disappointed with the overall service received, the lady at the reception desk also wasn’t able to tell me much as to what was going on.When I finally did get my car there was oil smeared all over the bonnet, there are oil marks on the drivers seat and oil all over the driver visor.Utterly disappointed with the overall service, state of my car, poor communication, abysmal delays and extortionate costs.I will never return to this garage & would advise others to do the same & avoid at all costs.

Took my car to them with a suspected broken flywheel, car would turn on and drive but made quite a horrible noise, had a vibration to it when running and lacked power when accelerating. Drove the car there and turned it on and moved it in the car park with mechanic in it. Later received a phone call to say when on diagnostics the battery wasn’t working properly and had to put a different one on it. Then was told the car wouldn’t start and there was a problem with the starter motor (had a rand new starter motor fitted to the car 4 days prior to the car going into the garage and no problems with it before leaving it with them). Told them it was a brand new starter motor already so shouldn’t be any problems, later on phoned again to say the engine was knackered and it needed a brand new engine. By this point it appeared that they hadn’t even looked at the flywheel that was mentioned on drop off. I was left with a car that would no longer start and needed recovering. Had another mechanic go to recover the vehicle, when the mechanic went to recover the vehicle they couldn’t even get the key into the ignition (which had never been a problem prior to leaving with the garage), the mechanic went inside to talk to the garage and everyone just ignored them. When the mechanic managed to recover the car still they couldn’t get the key to go into the ignition anymore and car was in a much worse state then when left with the garage…. All in all paid £60 for diagnostics on a car that I had to have recovered from them in a much worse state then when I left it with them.

We have used Premier MOT since the annual mot tester training started . The E learning modules are very informative and cover a lot of ground . This course prepares you very well for the annual exam .Although I attended the 2 day AEDM course back in the dark ages I decided to sign up for the Mot centre management course . With Premier the duration of the course is 3 days I attended this course on 18/19/20 of March 2019 .This course is very intense with mountains of information . I was surprised how much things have moved on and how much I have learned over these 3 days and am happy with the outcome of the exam .I would strongly recommend anyone looking to take the AEDM course or update themselves to use Premier Mot .Kelvin ChambersDirectorAladdin Oxford ltd

Great garage. Customers service was second to none. Really help me whilst I was working long hours. Drop the car out of hours for them so they could work on it in-between there other cars....Then picked it up when it was ready. I have used time and time again. Great team and honest with it. Excellent prices... highly recommended.

Without doubt, has now become my favourite MOT centre and garage in Newbury. Every member of their team was professional but also incredibly pleasant. I failed the MOT as always, but they showed me exactly why, gave a fabulous quote to remedy, and the work was done incredibly quickly. Couldn't speak any more highly of then. 10/10
