Richard Roberts Auditorium

One of the many magnificent buildings in University of Sheffield, UK that has well arranged auditoriums fitted with modern state of the art communication gadgets.

The Richard Roberts Building is home to Chemical and Biological Engineering. It contains lots of seminar rooms and one large lecture theatre, site of the 2016 tuition fees protest and occupation.

Fantastic lecture theatre

Geographically, it’s a hassle to get there because it’s placed right next to a roundabout. I also don’t care for the design and find it quite boring. My biggest gripe with this building is the layout, I still do not like it, but that’s only because I constantly compare it to the other uni buildings. The halls are narrow and compact, which makes me uncomfortable.Even so, the lecture rooms do what they’re supposed to do and are just fine. The problem is mainly the overall atmosphere that is just glum and sad, which is why I don’t really like this building.
