Mount Edgcumbe Thompson's Seat
Walked through Mount Edgcumbe grounds, benefitting from it's many spectacular views both throughout grounds & out beyond Plymouth Sound. There are several follies, seats & monuments to see during a stroll, as well as ponds boasting much wildlife (ducks, moorhens, fish etc). With November's crisp air against the Sun's glow, it's a great time for a walk through grounds. Each walkway is carpeted with Autumn's blanket of oranges, reds & browns from the many trees above. There are areas for picnics or simply have a rest & The Orangery (with toilets) can provide a pretty venue for afternoon tea or something more substantial if requiring a meal. Suitable for pushchairs /wheelchairs however some areas can be slippery & care should be taken with those unsteady on their feet, such as young /elderly. Cremyl Ferry operates to & from Stonehouse for pedestrians only, providing a great opportunity for a boat trip.

Mount Edgcumbe Thompson's Seat
Great little shelter to sit and look out over the Tamar. There are seats on two sides of the building.
