Walking With is a charitable organisation that delivers food and offers clothing and sometimes other items, even furniture, to asylum applicants. They do these things splendidly.However, they bill themselves as a support group and that is really important, as they themselves explain, to the socially and economically isolated (often it's the economic or linguistic isolation that results in social isolation, but not necessarily, as asylum applicants can be easily exploited by outside groups and criminals). They are not at all professional in providing any real emotional support, as this must be one-on-one, and they 'share' what one tells them, admittedly only intramurally. I am deeply disappointed in them.Need practical assistance? Turn to them. Need emotional support? Look elsewhere.

I volunteer. Brilliant people, lovely clients. Very fulfilling.

Refused me in English classes cause I live in Newcastle, but not North Tyneside :(However the was no such information in the brochure which provided the Newcastle Council.
