Reddish South

Reddish south has no service, apart from a single train in one direction once a week. This train is popular with enthusiasts, and travels between Stockport and Stalybridge stations. There is a good bus service however into town, and Reddish North station has a more regular train service.

What a pity the good people of Reddish have a choice of only one train a week from Reddish South - on a Saturday morning. Interesting that the operator, Northern Trains, doesn't list Reddish South (or its neighbour Denton) in its list of stations. Neither can you buy a ticket on its website. It's almost as though these two stations are too bothersome for the railway company, and it would dearly love to shut them, ignoring potential for marketing them as commuter/shopper links...with a regular service, of course!

Single platform train station with 2 trains every week on Saturday's. Along with Denton station, this station is very quiet and desolate.
