While down visiting my Daughter nearby. On fueling up for long journey home to Aberdeen - 436 miles my car had engine problems with EPC & Engine warning lights appear on dashboard. With lack of power. Steve at SLVW managed to look at VW Polo following morning. Car was showing 2 unidentified faults, after further investigation - basically small veins in turbo were choked with carbon he added an additive to my fuel tank and advised a good hard drive would do it good, assured me car would get me home.Stayed a couple of extra days doing short journeys as was unsure/worried about long drive home on my own, busy motorways etc. Have now made journey, car never hiccuped on the 7hr drive excluding stops through a mixture of weather, bit disappointed as used whole tank of fuel with additive and lights were still showing on dashboard…… Refueled close to home.. Went out the following day and LIGHTS HAVE GONE!!Amazing job Steve you saved the day and got me home. I would thoroughly recommend his services most helpful.Thank youFiona Rae

Steves a friendly guy but the work he did on my van at the start of the year was anything but nice. Failed mot on chassis and battery box needing work due to rust. £350 later was all done and I thought nothing of it. Roll to now and I've had the van at another garage doing some work when it was pointed out that the welding was a mess and wasn't even welded correctly. The patches were tack welded on and it was mostly sealant plastered over it. The patches came off with a few taps of a hammer and chisel. Now having to spend again to have it put right properly now.Just an update, Steve has apologised for the outsourced work and refunded me in full.

I live in Derby & started taking my cars here as i struggled to find anywhere decent and honest near to where I live after having several bad experiences. A few friends of mine live in Coventry and advised me to try here as they have taken their cars here for years. Steve and his Dad are the owners and are true professionals in what they do. 1st class work and great prices! I don't have any issues in travelling from Derby to bring my cars here, I just need honesty and great prices, both of which they provide.. thanks also for the recent work carried out on my sons car, another new satisfied customer.

Great Service from Steve, really knowledgeable and friendly.

I fitted a dashcam to my T6 over the weekend and forgot to reconnect the passenger airbag before switching the ignition on which threw an Airbag Error warning on the dash. Popped in to these guys on the off chance without warning or notice and they plugged the laptop in and removed the warning there and then. Fantastic local friendly service, forget all the big dealers that want to rob you!

Steve was really good, we had a major problem with our VW camper engine and we needed it sorting ASAP. He was kind enough to move things round and got it done for us, in short notice too! He really does know everything about air cooled engines, so if you have one take it here, you're in safe hands!
