I've been training with Dennis for over a year now and he is by far the best coach I have had. Initially, he helped me with a long term shoulder injury, however, I'm now injury free. My training has gone from strength to strength. I've been able to improve my running performance whilst increasing my overall strength which I've always found very difficult. Along with my weekly in-person session, Dennis also programmes the rest of the week for me. This has been very beneficial in the longevity of my training. Dennis is professional, knowledgeable and a great asset in helping me achieve all my long term fitness goals. Highly recommended.

I’ve been training with Dennis for just over 6 months now, since then I’ve seen a massive improvement in my strength and mobility goals and overall confidence in myself.It was important to me to find a coach who has a functional and holistic approach to fitness, someone who would help to grow my confidence in the gym and provide me with the knowledge to build sustainable long term training goals, and Dennis has done just that!After having issues with progressing with my upper body strength, Dennis identified that I needed to improve my shoulder mobility and has taken the time to build specific programme to improve this and my overall strength.Dennis is extremely knowledgeable and detailed, always taking the time to explain everything very clearly and always providing encouragement and motivation in a personable, calm way (i.e not intimating - like you’re at boot camp!) this approach really helps to empower you and hold you accountable to achieve your goals.I always leave each session feeling excited for the next one!I’d highly recommend Conroy performance for anyone wanting to kickstart their fitness journey or improve on their fitness goals - you won’t regret it.

Personal training Harpenden.I’ve been training with Dennis @ Conroy performance at the gym in Harpenden 2 x a week for 4 Months now.His attention to detail is second to none,For too long I’ve spent hours in the Gym Ragging myself, trying to stay strong and fit, just to hit a plateau. After 1 session Dennis identified my areas of imbalance, and put a plan to get my body working to its full potential.I’m 48 and have 2 young boys, my goal is to stay fit and strong, so I can keep up with them and enjoy playing with them, without the aches and pains that come with aging.Dennis is helping me reengage my brain with the small muscles that really matter, whilst maintaining and building my strength.Honestly his knowledge and observation is amazing. It hasn’t been easy at times but it’s been well worth the investment. I’m moving better than ever.

I initially started looking for a PT when I was having IT band issues from increased running mileage without taking into account the importance of strength training and was looking for some rehabilitation guidance and also because despite feeling like I was a regular ‘gym goer’ my progress working alone and attending classes had ground to a halt. I have been training with Dennis, personal trainer in Harpenden, ever since and have not looked back. Dennis brings his sports science background to his training and has a wealth of experience to help hit your goals whilst at the same time ensuring that you are keeping up with all that important mobility work that prevents injury when training hard. He’s great at knowing when to push and keep you moving forwards. And when other aspects of work and life are getting tough, my PT sessions with Dennis keep me motivated and on-target. 200% highly recommended!

Dennis was recommended to me by my old PT when they moved away from the area and they got it absolutely right. There is a thoughtfulness and precision to his coachng style and choice of activities that is hugely reassuring and very effective. When I got a small injury recently (not related to my training with him) he immediately changed programmes to support recovery. Highly recommended.

Dennis is the real deal. I’ve been working with him for 6 months and feel fitter, stronger and more mobile than I have in about ten years.I really enjoy how he combines mobility work with strength and conditioning. Previous trainers I’ve used have been pretty one-dimensional but Dennis can adapt based on my goals and my abilities and integrates it all. He takes the time to explain what we’re doing and why, and is always responsive when I’ve got questions. As a result, my training is both harder and more enjoyable than ever! Can’t recommend highly enough.

Dennis is an outstanding St Albans Personel trainer. I have been with Dennis every week for over 3 years. Dennis has helped me with many things but specifically getting over a bad back injury with involved a strict program starting with lots of mobility work and then moving slowing back into strength and fitness. I am now back to full fitness and have lost 3 stone across the 3 years I am working with Dennis on fitness, mobility, strength and a healthy diet to sustain and improve even more on what we achieved whilst in a demanding job. Dennis has outstanding knowledge in his field and always shows great support whilst motivating you to push for more.

I started training with Dennis to help recover from a slipped disc. He listened carefully to what I needed and created workouts which have really increased my strength and my confidence to exercise. Workouts are always challenging, yet achievable, and are designed to ensure I’m constantly progressing. Outside of my sessions he’s happy for me to contact him when I need training advice and he always replies promptly. I’d highly recommend Dennis if you’re looking for a trainer.

Being a semi professional footballer I have always kept myself reasonably fit and healthy but decided to get in touch with Dennis 6 months ago to improve my performance and help with injury prevention. This was my first time working with a Personal Trainer and Dennis has not only helped me with injury prevention but has enhanced my strength, conditioning and mobility. He is a great easy going guy with bundles of knowledge and professionalism. I had a grade 2 hamstring tear in May this year. After a period of manual therapy, I have been working with Dennis to repair and strengthen my hamstring. The goals of hamstring injury rehabilitation was to achieve a better functioning state prior to injury and to allow for my return to sports with minimal risk of recurrence.At the early stages of my rehab, Dennis proposed exercises to strengthen and restore the functionality of the musculature such as isometric strengthening, eccentric work, and controlled pain-free exercises. Towards the mid and late stages of the process, maximum strength and rate of force development played a role in further developing my hamstring. Along the way, Dennis has also helped with other areas, with the most specific being my lumbopelvic region.I now approach my training with a huge amount of confidence and I'm injury free. I have found Dennis to be keen and very knowledgeable. He explains every exercise in the PT session in detail. He is patient, attentive to detail, and designs challenging training sessions to keep me motivated. I would highly recommend him.
