Beautiful old old church and graveyard. The alleged grave of Alice Nutter (pendle witch) and gods eye carved into the church outer walls.Fab place to visit steeped in history.

Historical witches church so I believe. The Eye of God" is positioned on the tower of the church and one of the Nutter family is buried there

Very serene atmospheric quaint graveyard.. Mixture of very old and more recent tombstones, not one for walking around graveyards but me and some friends were visiting pendle for the day and stumbled across this amazing lovely village and St Mary's Church)(which was closed) so we had a walk around the graveyard which was surprisingly peaceful, was strange seeing tombstones from hundreds of years back and then seeing an area for a little boy who had tragically died recently was heartbreaking... :(

What a lovely building apparently there is a witch buried at the rear and if you look carefully there is an 'evil eye set into one of the stones"
