Layers Studio

We started working first with James, to founder to finalise the details around having a presentation on loop for an event Ctrl Hub was participating in. The brief included static slides with some light animations on a few of them and upon discussing it James quickly understood our vision and signed it off to his colleague Jonny to commence upon his return from holiday the next Monday. The requested turnaround time was very quick, just over a week to get it finalised on time and with details still at our end pending. Jonny was quick to grasp the idea and formulated a draft very fast with a few emails back and forth on what worked/didn't work. He also had tremendous patience with some of the details missing and made corrections/amendments quickly. We were sent early on a link to view the full presentation whilst it was still being worked on and the final product with the animations was so much better than anticipated at the beginning of the project. Jonny kept us updated at all times, responded quickly and efficiently, which made the collaboration very much pleasant and that it was in good, trusted hands. Our partners, whose details were also part of the presentation, were very pleased with the final outcome. A big thank you from all of us at Ctrl Hub for this great collaboration, high quality and excellent customer care from Jonny. Really enjoyed this project and I look forward to future projects.

Our website was only five years old but looked outdated and got little, if any, traffic. We contacted the NBSL funding and gained financial support in order to rebrand, redesign the website and re-train staff. The problem we had was we didn’t know what branding style we wanted, we just knew what we didn’t like. James spent time learning about our business and the team came up some branding ideas at incorporated our character and style. The website is now live with a seamless transition and no down time. Layers have created some support videos to support the team in making amends to the website; a great idea for those of us who don’t update the website a lot. We now get around five genuine enquiries a week which has led to some significant work. The team are always on hand to help and give advice and we will definitely be using James and the team again.

Layers helped us to create a brand identity and web page for our Glass (by Gavurin) platform. We found the team to be very creative, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with.The process James and the team have developed is both logical and inclusive, with plenty of opportunities for feedback and rapid iteration of ideas. We couldn't be happier with the results.

Layers have been brilliant in designing our website. We gave them a general feel of what we were after. They provided us with feedback, guidance and lots of other suggestions about what would work and some things we hadn't even considered. We recently embarked on an ambitious website re-design project with a lot of moving parts, involving multiple vendors and some bespoke Wordpress plugins. The Layers team delivered their sections of the project on time, with clear communication and good transparency throughout the process.

They helped me with branding, web design and product design on my new project WowzaBox. Very good design work, team members are all very good at what they do and passionate as well, very rare to see that in a company. Dan and Daniel whom I worked with to develop our website are very efficient and are great at problem solving, which is crucial for a new project. Larena worked with us at the beginning to help us visualising our ideas on the website which helped us a lot. She is very passionate and highly efficient as well. The managers were present throughout the time to ensure a smooth process, and they are very knowledgeable on their fields and on beers too! Overall a very vibrant team to work with and they deliver great results. Highly recommended.
