Can You Escape
The concept of the hero room was fun but it was less of an escape room more of a puzzle room in which half the stuff was faulty due to wear and tear. The tv screens weren’t on for the entire game so we had no idea of our time, the string for the bow broke so we spent an age trying to fix that, and the plastic scales for the weighs were a bit naff too. It was rated difficulty 5/5 and the challenges didn’t seem that difficult, they were only made hard because of their state. At £50 for two people we expected a bit more to be honest, and we didn’t get offered a team photo at the end which would have been nice

Was greeted warmly by Ceryl and Ellie - we enjoyed Lone Eagle so much we ended up playing Hero right afterwards!Definitely recommend for a fun activity when in York!

Great escape room with a novel superhero theme. The puzzles were all very inventive and original and our host was awesome Ceryl. They were watching everything and knew exactly when to step in or stop us doing something daft. Ceryl was one of the best hosts we've had, we never got left languishing or had to ask for lots of clues. We've done a lot of escape rooms and this one is up there. Loved it, would definitely do more rooms at Can You Escape York.

Wonderful experience! We did the new Contagion room there and it was a great challenge with really interesting puzzles that I won't spoil ! Ceryl was a great games master and I highly recommend checking out this escape room !

10/10 me and a friend went to try to escape the 'lone Eagle' room and had such a good time! I couldn't recommend it more. Safe to say we weren't the best at finishing the task.El was such a great games master! She made our experience so amazing. When we needed any help she was there and gave us plenty of direction without spoiling anything.If you're in york I would 100% recommend!

Did a really fun room (Super Hero themed). Complicated puzzles, but we made it out on time. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We had a few hours to kill while waiting to meet a larger group of people, so did the 'Operation Lone Eagle' mission here. Great host, and a good set of puzzles to solve.If I was being super-critical the room is looking a bit tired around the edges and could do with some TLC, but it didn't really take away from the experience and would highly recommend

Great escape room in the heart of York. We did the super hero one and it was one of the best rooms I’ve done. Lots of varied puzzles and I was grateful not to have to do a load of padlocks for a change. Big shout out to Max who was a great host and helped with sorting my booking out after I made an error! Was an amazing time. Really made my friend's birthday. Plus, Hannah made it twice as enjoyable. Absolutely amazing, will likely come back for my own birthday :)

A great experience. Fun and challenging and we had a super time. Our host was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the puzzle. Would definitely come again!
