Chestnut Theatre School

My teen has been attending Chestnut Theatre School for just over a year. She enjoys the activities and never wants to miss a session! Sarah was very creative during lockdown and continued to meet with the groups via Zoom to keep the connections and skills building going. Sarah has sessions for all ages 4-18 and has an adult singing group too.

My daughter aged 12 and my son aged 8 love coming to Chestnuts. Their confidence has soared and they have both blossomed with Sarah's wonderful encouragement. It is great to see a drama class that is about developing children's characters and acting rather than just singing and dancing. Sarah also runs fantastic singing groups to concentrate on singing for kids and adults like me who have not sung properly in years but love singing. I would really recommend Chestnuts Theatre School.

Amazing theatre school with a fun, positive, diverse and inclusive ethos. With the most caring and supportive staffMy sons have been going to Chestnut Theatre School for 6 years. They absolutely love it. They have so much fun as well as learning a range of drama skills. They have thrived under the support of Sarah and her team who have such a wonderful way of nurturing and supporting young people to bring out the best in them. My boys have grown so much in confidence. The range of activities/games and learning they do with chestnuts keeps them busy and engaged, They have taken part in numerous shows and showcases which they really enjoy.What I really like about chestnuts is that they will always work at the pace of your child. They are not pushy. If your child is shy/and quiet (my youngest one was for the longest time) that's ok there is still a space for them at chestnuts. They wont get lost in the crowd as every child is made to feel like star.And as a mum its really important for me that the clubs my kids go to a not just educational but are fun, positive and supportive. And chestnuts definitely is. 5stars!!

Both my daughters attend Chestnut's, They absolutely love it!! My youngest attends the musical theatre class and comes out beaming after each session and brimming with confidence! My eldest attends the teen class and was quite nervous prior to her first session! Sarah made her feel completely at ease straight away and she looks forwards to attending each week! Sarah is fabulous!!!!

My daughter has been attending this school for around two years now. She loves it, she attends the extra holiday clubs and has appreciated the online classes during lockdown. Its done wonders for her confidence!!Sarah and her team genuinely care about the children who attend and beam like extra proud parents when the children conquer or achieve their goals. I cannot recommend the school enough.

Chestnut is brilliant. Sarah and the team are so good with the children. My son is in the teenage class and it's the highlight of his week. He is gaining confidence all the time. Matthew has Asperger but with Sarah's all inclusive approach he doesn't feel separate too the other children. He is excited to start in the new class where he can gain a drama qualification❤

Lovely theatre school where everyone is made to feel welcome,comfortable and included whatever their abilities. My daughters both attended the drama groups until they went to college, and attend the group singing lessons ( where they also get the opportunity of one to one tuition so the best of both worlds )and love every minute being taught techniques by the highly qualified, motivated teacher Sarah. She is passionate about her school and the happiness and well being of her studends.This shows in the enthusiasm the children and adults have whilst learning in a fun, relaxed atmosphere within Chestnuts.
