A GREAT place to see a movie, live music, and live theatrical productions. Comfortable seating, and a great sound system. Come a little early for a pint or a glass of wine to enjoy before the show.

We have been to a number of shows in the small studio hub & the main auditorium. Seats are comfortable plenty of leg room, in both areas staff are always pleasant & helpful. Food and drink available & reasonably priced.Always have a great time when we visit

Visited here to watch my Grandaughters perform in their Christmas Carol productions. As an out of towner" this was my first visit since The Playhouse refurbishment and it didn't disappoint. It felt like a vibrant hub with easy access for everyone catered for. We took advantage of the coffee shop (who offer a varied menu) between performances and enjoyed a delicious scone and coffee. Will make sure to visit again on my next trip up North to take advantage of another theatre offering."

First visit but certainly won't be last! Really enjoyed Sleeping Beauty film as well as the tasty lunch in the café.

The Alnwick Playhouse
Arrived intentionally early so we could have a coffee and some sustenance before the 3.5 hour epic (in every sense of the word) 'Killers of the Flower Moon' Although the cafe kitchen was closed the barrista rustled up a couple of simple cheese and ham toasties, that absolutely hit the spot. Service above and beyond.

Great place to go for a drink, coffee, play, movie or just to visit the library. it’s only small but whatever it’s doing it does well in my opinion. Great place to have on your doorstep.

Have been twice recently for food in the cafe with friends and kids, food was very tasty nice friendly staff, great coffee too cost was reasonable too.Second visit was to the cinema a group of us took kids to see a film really good price in house sweets weren't hugely overpriced either was a really nice evening will definately be making it a more regular trip

Stunning, well maintained building in the town. Spent a lot of time here as a kid doing a variety of shows; school drama, musicals, youth theatre & dancing. I still love seeing the renovated building. The cafe, inside is a great addition. The bar upstairs is gleaming, (There was a popcorn machine here, my kids were gutted the last time we went and we couldnt see it, shame if its not there anymore). Plenty of toilets to use. The auditorium is spacious.A lovely asset to the town, we must see our privilege and protect Alnwick Playhouse by using its facilities.
