I learnt more talking with Steve Morris about my condition in an hour than 20 years struggling with the NSH. The physio team again helpful and very kind. My experience with Steve and the team at the Sussex back pain clinic has been incredible throughout.I had damaged a disk in my neck and was struggling with pain, tingling and numbness in my right arm and hand. I was also finding it increasingly difficult to settle into a comfortable place to sleep.I had received a number of different types of treatment, including acupuncture, steroid injections and physiotherapy which had helped to a certain extent but the symptoms were increasing again.A good friend of mine recommended the IDD therapy as her husband had been one of the early patients at the clinic and had seen remarkable results.The initial consultation with Steve felt like the first time that anyone had actually explained what was happening in my body and why.I was initially nervous about the IDD therapy itself, wondering how it would feel, whether it would hurt and if it would help. I shouldn't have worried as the team make sure that you are comfortable and fully cared for throughout. The therapy was so relaxing for me that I almost fell asleep on a number of occasions.Introducing the supporting exercises helped even more. Will and Duncan were knowledgeable, patient and supportive and I learned so much from them about the things I was doing to exacerbate my symptoms and how a few simple movements could help me to increase the mobility in my spine.Since speaking to the team, I now use an orthopaedic chair in my home office and a sit/stand desk to increase my mobility. I am able to sit, stand and sleep comfortably with a greatly reduced set of symptoms in my arm and hand.The whole experience with the team at the clinic and the therapy itself has been remarkable and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with symptoms.Thank you to all the team.

I've been coming to the Sussex back pain clinic for some time now, the receptionist are always courteous and the osteopath are very good and understanding about your needs. They will explain what course of treatment you require. Steve Morris is great but he has cut down on treating patients. I see liz.

I have previously visited many different chiropractors and physios to try and resolve my back issues which unfortunately made no improvement and all diagnosed different issues, which all required back surgery!I was very reluctant to have back surgery and a friend recommended Steve Morris at Sussex back pain clinic and after a very thorough examination he identified the problem and set some exercises and some IDD sessions.I went from being unable to walk more that 50m to being completely pain free after only a few sessions!I really can't recommend Steve Morris highly enough, he was extremely knowledgeable , patient and honest about expectations,I am now fully recovered and back to work as a heating engineer which before seeing Steve felt impossible.Thanks for all you help.

I had a prolapsed disc and went to Sussex Back Pain Clinic as my neurologist said my only options were a spinal injection or surgery. Steve looked at my MRI and suggested there was an good chance they could help using their IDD treatment. I was beginning to think the treatment wouldn't work for me but after the 12th (of the 20) IDD treatment my back pain literally disappeared! 2 months later I am still completely pain free. I am still having the exercise sessions provided by the clinic and have slowly returned to my previous life of golf four times a week.I cannot thank Steve and his team enough and if I could give them, and what they've done for me 10 stars, I would!!

I had so much hip pain that I thought it needed replacing. Even before my MRI scan was taken, Steve correctly diagnosed what was wrong, and the ensuing course of IDD, with an exercise programme added in, sorted out the pain and disability within 2 months. The staff were so supportive and professional, I felt completely sure of a positive outcome. I was relaxed during therapy, and felt equipped to do the exercises at home to a high standard. I looked forward to every visit, because even the receptionists knew me and greeted me with a smile, asking how things were going.I have already recommended at least 6 people to visit your website, as they can see the difference in me. My friends at church and choir are amazed how quickly I have been able to discard my walking stick, and at the changes in my mobility. 10 weeks after the first phone call to the clinic, I have been able to stand without pain for a dress rehearsal and concert on the same day, and take a 2 hour rehearsal for our carol concert.I can't thank you enough, the staff are all highly trained, professional and friendly in attitude, what more could a patient require?

I have been extremely impressed with the Sussex Back Pain Clinic. All the staff are friendly yet professional and will go above and beyond to help. Steve and Will have been fantastic! I have felt listened to and supported through each stage of my recovery.Whilst in hospital with a herniated disc, Steve took the time to discuss non-surgery options with me. He knowledgeably and patiently answered my exhausting list of questions which resulted in me cancelling my surgery - the best decision I could have made!Three months on and I have to pinch myself at the progress I have made. From hardly being able to move I am back to light exercise and a phased return to my physically demanding job... on zero painkillers! There is still work to be done but I am so grateful to the team for helping me get my life back.

On a recent weekend away in Brighton my back seized up quite dramatically and left me almost unable to walk. After ringing around various practices in the area, I came across the Sussex Back Pain Clinic who, fortunately, offered me a same day treatment with Duncan Rock.As a manual worker and also being involved in sporting activity, I have experience of various body workers who I’ve used over the years. I immediately sensed Duncan’s expertise and knowledge and noted his reassuring “bedside” manner which added to my confidence in his ability. Also I was impressed by the degree of empathy and conscientiousness Duncan showed in working with me for the best outcome. I’m not saying this should make any difference but, as I am not local, Duncan’s motivation wasn’t likely to engender repeat business, it was a genuine concern for my best interests. In short my impression is that Duncan is both very personable and very able and I would highly recommend him. As a postscript I was able to enjoy the remainder of my stay in Brighton with my back much improved from the treatment.

My whole experience with Sussex Back Pain Clinic was very professional and reassuring and ultimately solved my back issue. Duncan, who is new to the clinic, really understood what I was trying to achieve and ran our sessions accordingly, building difficulty at a pace I could manage and I’m now playing tennis again. Would highly recommend.
